I didnt know anyone this side of the world even knew about Doraemon. When I lived in Japan, I used Doraemon manga to help me learn to read Japanese because the kanji all had the furigana. Its targeted at kids and was a pretty good addition to my normal language studies, I picked up a lot of slang.
