Any chance this update will enable fast forwarding or rewinding of music? Resume function for music? For some reason, I doubt it.

Can someone please explain to me why they spend real money on avatar "clothing" I just don't get it.
Hey, if there's a world where I can't through my money away on worthless virtual crap, I don't want to live in it.
Can someone explain to me why Twitter or Facebook is worth my time either unless I'm housebound from snow or live in a remote location.

@kjb434, Facebook is for people that party every weekend or like to know what their friends are doing (with their other friends).
Twitter is basically the geek version of Facebook status' where people can tweet about stuff they normally wouldn't directly to their friends. A lot of people tend to not link their RL selves with their twitter accounts also.
Both are great additions to the 360.

Cool. I signed up for the preview program, but if I don't get picked at least the actual update isn't too far off. I'm really looking forward to some of the changes and additions.

Hopefully the Guide Lag is gone once and for good. Iv lost so many online matches just because i froze when trying to check a message.

Why are you trying to pull up messages while in an online match? That makes no sense. Not denying the guide has slowed down a lot but still, either play games or read messages, don't try to do both at the same time and you won't have any problems.
The lag is indeed terrible. It freezes when it is loading the icons for your friends-list. It's dogshit slow, and they need to fix it. Just like when the arcade game list used to load up death-slow.
Michael. Do you realize how ridiculous what you just said is? I should have to think about my consoles faults while playing a game. The guide is supposed to be seamless. Xbox live's features are supposed to be seamless and smooth. Why the hell do I have to prohibit doing one thing because im doing another? That was never an issue before NXE.

I have seen other people comment they haven't experienced lag. Either they have an Xbox that isn't affected (like a certain batch of them or something) or their computers are Pentium 2's and so they're used to lag.
Whatever it is, the lag totally sucks and I hate it. I totally understand what you, and everyone else on this threat that agrees, is talking about!

i'll take 8GB+ mp4 support i can just remux without reencoding then.
This could be the most niche request out of them all, but please add support support for constant bitrate audio in .mp4 files. At the moment you get error code 69-C00D002F when you try to play a video with a CBR AAC soundtrack.
Personally If I really must pull up a message while on line in a game, I just use my laptop to do it, on to the actual article, I'm very surprised this is coming so soon, I thought it was August.31st when the update was coming, but only 3 weeks away, Thank you Microsoft. Can't wait for all the updates, but the lag is a very welcome and needed fix.
Oh yeah no Twitter, Facebook or Last FM in this update for those who don't click the read link, these features come later this year, in the FALL.
If the next generation handheld from MS is a Zune/Xbox combo with a 4.5" screen, that is one thing that could, possibly, pry me out of the iPod ecosystem. Nice if it had a phone too...
Again, no browser. I don't care for anything else, especially the stupid adverts. I pay for Gold, I shouldn't have to suffer through ads. And don't give me that "but look at all the features they're adding". I don't care about most of it. Let me have a simple console where I can play games and keep track/contact my friends.
I wonder how Microsoft is going to control their twitter and facebook app. Will Live restrictions apply? I would think so since it's an app provided by MS. They could have saved them/us a lot of money by simply putting a browser on and then people could get to twitter/facebook that way. Oh, but then they wouldn't be able to monitor and collect data would they.

What is the point of a web browser? I have 1 desktop and 2 laptops and an iPhone and have never had the need for a web browser on my xbox. It's pointless and I see why MS hasnt put one on,
If you really want one use windows media center to xbox 360. Congrats, enjoy your web browser.
Hopefully netflix will have subtitle support, tried watching Traitor and it was impossible. I watched the DVD so i know they're there. and my arabic is pretty rusty.

- no audio FF/RW
I just wish they would up their game with their media player. Whats so hard about copying the Zune or MCE layout. Both are great examples of how media should be organized and shown on screen.
