Sony said to have seriously considered second analog nub for PSP Go

Sony PlayStation Portable go
A look back on popular stories from today in a specific year.

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
all i have to say is......RAAAAAAAAGEEE!!!!!!!
All they need is a touch screen and accelerometer. I guess Apple told them not to use it.
Stupidity rules again....how dumb are these Sony execs?
It's one mistake after the other
So basically, they're saying there will never be a second analog stick for the PSP? Way to go, Sony. >__>
No second stick BECAUSE you can sync a Dualshock 3 or sixaxis to the pspGo. this they say is for movie purposes but I think the REAL deal is that it will have the advanced remote play of all ps3 games. That would be the BIG thing that they are gonna hold back any info on until mid to late November...
...further widening Sony's disconnect with consumers.
"You've seen it in religion, Now we too hold back progress, Sony - Something to believe in"
the Nintendo DSi, with its camera and higher specs, has the potential of having totally new games completely detached from its older DS Lite. If this idea works, Sony will be a step behind Nintendo (again) for not providing a different playing experience on their new hardware--even if it only meant having a 2nd analog nub on their PSP Go.
Sony played it too safe again, and will pay for it in the future.
What they need to consider is a price cut or a touch screen.
So now sony is listening to their customers but ignoring their wishes and sound advise, and that is suppose to be an improvement on not listening at all?
Must be a japanese thing.
why didn't they consider an OLED screen for that price?
They are still trying to get back the cost of forcing blueray on the world
I don't care for these smokescreens to take attention away from real issues. Real issues like:
* inability to play UMDs (plz pay for games again?)
* smaller screen
* non-removable battery
* almost-certain less comfortable unit to play on
* ridiculous price
* the fact that you can buy 16GB of Memory Stick for less than the in-built 16GB here (and we can still download games with current models just like this one)
* the fact that it uses more expensive Memory Stick Micro for extra expansion
* the inability to use regular USB cables, GPS add-on, camera add-on, wired remote...
* dubiousness of Bluetooth
I'm eager to see sales statistics on this model. How much will the market value the only real improvements (or additions): Bluetooth and compact size? We'll see.
This is one of the worst things I have seen, in my lifetime. Adding a slider (increasing risk of the damn thing breaking..), isn't going to please me. No UMD, so all my old games are crap.
I have a psp-1000, I've never really liked how it is. Ever since I saw it the first time, I wanted the second analog nub. The games would be easier to control and really allow game companies to produce games that will properly play well on the system. But now, they have changed the look, looks like something you can find at a children's store under spy gadgets.
Horrible, looks like a cheap toy.
Not only does the original system look more attractive, but it also looks more confortable. This system looks to be extremely uncomfortable for the hand placement, and the buttons are too big. Instead of making things bigger, and pointless, they could have thought on ways to improve the system. Not ways to make it different (but exactly the same/worse).
I wouldn't buy this, even if i was offered it for $20. Hell.. I wouldn't even take this for free.
DUH!!! ADD A SECOND ANALOG STICK AND RUMBLE FUNCTIONALITY AND WER GOOD TO GO
Sony has failed me yet again. I hope they go broke just to teach them the lesson that they should be listening to the fans. They just wouldn't throw in a stick even though it was guaranteed money. What a stupid decision.
