Viewsonic goes all out with new nettops, netbooks, media PCs and media players

Viewsonic may still be best known as a monitor company, but it looks to be doing its best to change that with its latest batch of products, which run the gamut from handhelds to media PCs. The bulk of the new offerings are in the small form factor PC category, and include the Atom-based VOT 120 / 121 and 130 / 132 nettops (pictured above), as well as the more beefed-up Core 2 Duo-based VOT 530 / 550 media PC (complete with Blu-ray drive and remote control). Launched alongside those are Viewsonic's fairly standard VNB 100 / 101 netbooks, and the company's all new VPD 400 and 500 media players, which pack a 4.3-inch and 5-inch screen, and 8GB and 16GB of storage, respectively. Check out the gallery below for a look at the whole lot, and hit up the link below for a rundown of all the specs.

I thought black was the new white which was the new gray?
The view sonic logo painted on the models isn't tacky at all.
Not painted on. She is property of Viewsonic.
Exactly what I was thinking... I don't want some rainbow colored picture of parrots or whatever on something that's white. Or, really, anything at all that I might have to pay to own.
Uh.. whut?
@jaykarr
shes not white, shes yellow.
I hope you were being sarcastic - i can't stand their logo. Call me elitist but I don't buy some of their stuff BECAUSE it has that horrible logo on it.
first!!! or second??
damn third
Third.
Psh you beat me.
Do you make money for claiming to be "first" or something?
I'm just wondering why people still do it.
And do you lose money for being wrong?
:)
Miko, it's called being a dipshit, most people grow out of it by 13, obviously some don't.
That looks oddly edible.
The Girl?
Was thinking the same thing Adam. Especially considering the products that aren't strictly screens...?...yeah probably crap.
So the ONLY saving grace in this article and photos are the Beautiful women holding them.
I'm already weary to buy an Eee PC for the toylike name/logo even though ASUS is a great company. No way in hell I'm gonna lug around a viewsonic netbook. I generally don't care what others think but I wanna look at my netbook and think it's a fine machine, not see the viewsonic logo and feel like I picked it up in the walgreens toy isle.
This looks like shit quality and the logo just kills it for me.
But, for the average consumer, perfect.
They're still using the birds? Really?
Every time I see them it makes me thing they paint their products with bird poop.
Shamefully, I own an old Viewsonic PC (M2200 I think was the model number) from '03 or '04. It was a piece of junk then and hasn't held up well over the years. Granted most problems can be traced to their choice in power supply, but having a computer for all of a month and then having it go "bam" and become useless is not fun.
It's even less fun when Viewsonic won't support it because it was bought from Tigerdirect.com.
Yeah, never buying a PC from them again, they should stick to monitors since that's what they're "good" at.
Somebody please shoot the person who designed the keyboard with the up-arrow where the right-shift key should be.
Only newbs us the right shift key.
use* also.
Unless they feature a GPU other than the turdstain Intel pimps these are just useless for media.
