Fujitsu promises to deliver fastest gaming rig "on the planet"

Fujitsu may not be doing much talking about specifics just yet, but it sure is doing plenty of boasting about its now-in-development gaming desktop, which it says will be the "fastest rig on the planet." That, as you can see above, will be at least partly due to some fine "German ultra clocking," and partly due to Fujitsu's 30+ years of workstation experience -- not to mention some crazy fast components. Not much more to go on than that, unfortunately, but you can learn even less from Fujitsu's teaser video after the break.

No, I must've missed it, Sam. What did you do there at the end?
theres a better one on planet zonar in the golgosore constellation
As a German I say:
Not approved: teaser video with strong sociopathic nutcase in the woods flavour
Approved: German ultra clocking, that's as ultra as clocking gets
Too bad nobody can afford MADE in Germany anymore.
Why "Ultra-Clocking" and not "Uber-Clocking", yea?
Über is a bit outdated and too reminiscent of a certain thing that happened in the early 40's
Or as wikipedia says:
"The crossover of the term "über" from German into English goes back to the work of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. In 1883, Nietzsche coined the term "Übermensch" to describe the higher state to which he felt man might aspire. The term was brought into English by George Bernard Shaw in the title to his 1903 play Man and Superman. During his rise to power, Adolf Hitler used Nietzsche's term in his descriptions of an Aryan master race. It is through this association with Superman the hero that the term "über" carries much of its English sense implying irresistibility or invincibility."
The new Fujitsu 5000. Throw your 4000 away... it's a piece of $hit!
They forgot:
-Not sold in stores
-Beware of imitators
im surprised fujitsu isnt out of business. i dont know anyone who owns one, but i o know stop and shop uses fujitsu's scanner and register, and after saying that i can proudly say its a piece of overpriced junk lol
You know the Germans make good stuff.
Anyone else notice that case? Jesus God that's an ugly piece of metal. I sure hope that's not ACTUALLY what case they're gonna use.
Bullshit. There's no way a company can mass-produce the "fastest machine on the planet".
By the time it's gone through their design and approval process, newer hardware will be out that can be clocked higher. Not to mention the fact that they'll need to hand-pick the most overclockable units out of a batch of parts using rigorous overclocked testing, which is going to drive the cost up even more (because of time spent and parts burned out).
It's specs will probably include:
-a high-end core i7...of some type (there's only 1)...
-12GB of DDR3 RAM...of some type...
-(possibly) a water cooling system...of some type...
-a 1000w+ PSU...of some type...
-one or more high capacity SSD(s) (in raid 0 perhaps?)...of some type...
-(possibly) a tri-SLI graphics set-up...of some type...
-a stratospheric price of which only the rich can afford...of some type...
I hope they call it the iZAN, 'cause that would be epic-balls-in-the-face.
Those Germans. All you have to do is tell people it's from Germany and it's supposed to mean "quality".
This is the Sham-CPU, it's made in Germany, how could it be bad?
German tech huh?
