Samsung jumps into e-book reader game with the SNE-50K

Samsung's announced it's jumping into the best game in town -- the paperless book trade -- with its SNE-50K e-book reader. With 512MB of onboard storage, a five-inch touchscreen and stylus, and a complete lack of wireless or internet capabilities, it's not the most advanced reader we've ever seen, but it's slim and light, at nine millimeters thick and weighing about 6.5 ounces. In South Korea, where the reader will be launched first, Samsung has partnered with Kyobo Bookstore, one of the largest booksellers in the country. There's no word on launches outside of South Korea at this time, but Samsung does plan on showing a prototypes for other countries at a trade show in January (most likely CES).

shes taken! Id let her jump on my ebook any day...

Again, exploitation of women...
She's beauteous!
from the lifeless pose she does kind of look photoshopped or like one of those japanese gynoids...
I know Asian girls have round faces with big cheeks, but that is ridiculously cute!
Amen!
Without fail, if you post an article with a picture of an asian girl you will get roughly 25% more comments.
Precisely why they "use" those girls. There is only one thing us geeks like more then our gadgets.
I'd love to get an e-paper display that could function as a wireless external touch-screen for a computer. IMO that'd be better than a tablet PC, since you could have it next to your laptop and switch back and forth between typing and sketching while taking notes, or leave your computer on the desk while reading and/or annotating documents on your bed or whatever.
WHAT!?!?!? Are you gay too?

Engadget: available in moms' basements everywhere.
Haha, I confirm so much about American culture in these postings.
In any Asian country (Korea, Japan, China) we just say she is a pretty girl and we like her. Only in USA forum people talk about insult others that they don't have enough girls, and others defend that they admire pretty girl. They say USA is puritan or pure or have problem with sex. In Asia, we all love sex, you have more or less OK, but everyone like including girl. Even ugly man can have as much sex as he wants, noone is really ugly, we just like the opposite sex.
Why american boys so complicated just see picture of beautiful girl?
What?
American? Vee are all Sveedish here.
What in the bloody hell are you talking about?
it could be that's because some of those guys are gynophobic and a reason for a lot of those civil unions in the states... (just stating a plausible cause)
Awwwww... dimples! So cute. I just want to pinch her... repeatedly... all over her body.
It's the power of plastic surgery. Korean plastic surgeons have the best technique in the world. If she were a hotel, she's only 3 star hotel.
@Daniel
what woman would represent a five star hotel? (a quote from someone: beauty is in the eye of the beholder)
How much???????...i mean the e-book
Isn't SNE-50K awfully close to SNES?
We now know why samsung is coming into our homes and dominating the market!! :D
not quite hyori cute.
