LG releases first official shots of BL40 "New Chocolate"

We've already got a pile of evidence taller than the BL40 itself that told us LG's latest Black Label device was that ultra-wide, glossy red and black slate we've seen floating around -- but now, for the very first time, it's totally official. The company has just released the first fully-revealed press photos of the phone that it's calling the "New Chocolate," an homage to one of the phones that brought it to the dominant industry position it enjoys today. So, is the BL40 going to help it continue that dominance? At a glance here, yeah, we'd say there's a pretty good chance.

omg im so loving this phone
i was already considering it
but if the ui really works anything like the video then im ready to buy right now!
never thought i would get another feature phone
or non-nokia for that matter.
but im extremely disappointed with nokia atm.
i love my 5800. but i also hate it at the same time.
symbian should be way more matured and caught up to the competition by now.

I guess I'm the only one that's not really digging it. Just seems to long to me, I don't think it would fit in the pocket very well.

I agree. I look at that browser shot in landscape mode and think it's too short to be visually appealing to view websites and pictures. it would appear that you'd be doing a lot more scrolling to read anything of even moderate length than you would on an iphone/pre/BB etc.

I'm more worried about breaking this phone when its in my pocket. Its definitely long.

I'm also worried about the horrible things Verizon will do with the UI when it gets a hold of this phone.

This looks like a phone that's strictly for enterntainment and media, and for chicks with big purses!

Can someone's face cover the span between the speaker and the mic? The phone does looks sweet though! Different, but definitely not for everyone.
