It still
can't multitask, but as of today, it's finally capable of accessing and sharing iDisk files. Apple has at long last let loose a long-awaited application for iPhone OS 3.0 that enables iPhone and iPod touch users with MobileMe accounts to access the inner sanctums of their own iDisk. The app lets you login, view files (up to 20MB or so, sayeth Apple) and share files by sending others a link via email to whatever you deem appropriate. There's also an option to password protect those files and limit the amount of days the download is active, though viewing files is limited to iPhone-supported file types such as iWork, Office, QuickTime, PDF, etc. If you're a paying
MobileMe user, go on and give this one a download -- it's free, you know?

Haha
this is the app store calling, time to update your apps
Engadget has got to quit reporting that the iphone doesn't multitask. That app is called BACKGROUNDER. It works, and YES you CAN MULTITASK with the iphone. Try being informative and plug Backgrounder, and maybe eventually Apple will officially support it!!
But it will negatively impact battery life. Until they enable multitasking at least, then it will be revolutionary.
just tested mobileme idisk. lacks loads of features. no offline reading. no file name edits. cant read php, html, or other text based files. im not even sure if you can edit word documents, but only view them. wtv, get quickoffice, its much better.
Air Sharing and OneDisk to offer a unique set of features that Apple's currently doesn't.
Yeah it pretty much is a waste of time. Its an iDisk viewer, woo... you can't play a series of mp3's off it, just one file at a time, you can't access your mobile me gallery, you can't download, OR upload. Completely worthless. I'll probably cancel Mobile Me because I was betting on iDisk being able to be integrated into the iPhone OS like Mobile Me is, you know like while browsing the net you can save files by click-holding and choosing "Download file to iDisk" but nooooo its NOTHING.
I just got this app. I like it. Simple and easy to navigate. The only thing I noticed is the lack of a 4 digit pass code to get into the app since you are always logged into your iDisk after the first time you enter your username and password. Other than that, it's pretty nice for viewing and streaming content.
"Kicks out" - does this mean banish or unveils? (Slang doesn't make this a great site. Content does).
