I installed the new App World and so far I love it. Question is, can we archive to SD Card and I just haven't figured it out? I archived 1 game I had installed and it put it in the device memory.
I have noticed this as well.. they say that you can put the archived apps on your SD card.. Well mine is saving the archives to my device memory.. What the deal with that.. They also say that an icon will remain in the folder you originally DL'd the file in... Not the case.. you have to open App world and then go to my world and reinstall there.... Not how they advertised it to us... What gives BB.........
I have noticed this very same thing... BB has advertised that you can archive said apps to your SD card and the Icon to this Said app will remain in the folder that i had downloaded it to.... Neither are the case... Not only does the Icon not stay in the folder that i DL'd it to.. I have to open app world and head to my world to reinstall it there... huge waste of time... Next the archiving to the SD card.... doesnt happen... unless i am missing something it is getting saved to my Device memory.... What is the deal with that BB.. very disapointing... Hope That i am missing something.. there are no options to even change the prefferances...
HMMMMM FAIL.....
lol I feel so bad for what Blackberry Storm users have to put up with. That interface on those two devices is absolute crap... not even joking.
Yeah, and people still complain about the Windows Mobile UI, but because it has a Blackberry brand, it's okay. Put this next to Windows Mobile 6.5 and the Blackberry OS is very outdated.
Yeah I know, it's pretty funny. I think they talked about this in the Engadget weekly podcast, and how Blackberry needs an overhaul. I believe all the other major companies have done so. Palm made the Web OS, Google's platform is fairly modern, and they consistently push updates like Cupcake to make sure that it is up to date, even Microsoft put out 6.5, which isn't exactly iPhone OS or Palm Web OS quality, but still a much needed improvement. Now Blackberry needs to update their mobile phone platform. I think that the OS on the bold is okay, but this is really unacceptable for Blackberry customers using the Storm. Seriously, this is garbage.
It's not that engadget or ross miller don't know what they are posting is an incorrect screenshot but they want to show RIM and BlackBerry in bad light and so they post screenshot of something that is totally incorrect.
And they have been doing this from the very begining. Post after post on AppWorld is misleading with the wrong screenshot. I don't think ross miller is blind but rather I just think he wants to show what a big douche bag he is.
What everyone seems to be missing is the fact that you have to install and update App World FROM the Application Center so technically, at least in this post, the photo is correct.
@Shane, not necessarily. If you just go to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download you can get it there without even having to go to the Application Center.
Hello, where can i get the update if my BBAW icon shows no available update "star" or no way of checking of updates?
Please and Thank you!
