Wow..... I haven't seen, or even thought about Maxell in.... well over a decade!! Glad to know there are still here.... what's this about them being a global leader in storage media?.....
The article is too long but I just look at the pictures anyway.
USB memory lineup existed
I feel very secure knowing that Maxell sells a secure digital Secure Digital Card.
Maxell.... a little late wouldn't you say? and what's up with the Ace of Base... "I saw the sign!"
Throwback reference, perhaps? Unless the geniuses at Maxell are throwing in 15-year-old cassette maxi-singles.
I LOVED ace of base back in the day! LOL :-)
Best not to mention that.
"the sign" was the first CD i ever bought (i was like 7 or so). then green day's "dookie". both great albums in their own ways.
Me too!!! :) Nothing to be ashamed of... btw Great music.
There is nothing great about Ace of Base. They were the '90s version of Abba and thus guilty of being awful in the worst way possible. But kudos for being honest.
On topic-Cassette singles were awesome. When you only liked that one song off the whole album. Remember when cd's were $18.99 at sam goody? man buying one album on cd was like a serious investment back then. Man I feel old
I guess being a homo like me has its advantages. We can like Ace of Base, ABBA, Madonna, etc etc...LOL :-) Oh well.
I should have know it when I was younger and my favorite tape was from En Vogue. That, and I loved signing 'Baby Got Back' - go figure that one out!!!! I was a confused boy back then! :-D
there was one great thing about Ace of Base and it had blond hair.
Break the memory barrier.
I think they just did. All of a sudden I remember Maxell xD
I still have a mix I made on one of their cassettes...
miss u maxell. :C
Wait... I thought they made coffee?
your thinking maxwell
I'm still unclear as to what a "one-year limited lifetime warranty" is...
They kill you if it breaks. Or at least that's how I interpreted it.
Glad I'm not the only one confused by this.
The "lifetime" they're referring to is that of most small rodents.
I think it means the lifetime of the product, in this case only for a year.
one does a one year life time warranty mean? so the warranty only last 1 year? or lifetime?
probably some like a full warranty for a year.. then the limited warranty after the the first year is up.
It lasts a lifetime of exactly one year.
It means that if you buy one of these, you only have 1 year left to live
I used Maxell CDR/DVDR
Maxell has had Flash storage line in Europe for ages.
I have 2 old 128MB Maxell SD cards in a drawer somwhere even at this moment...
it is a fake.
In Ireland and UK we have had Maxell Flash cards and usb sticks for years. I have about ten of their usb drives somewhere. They are usually the cheapest. But they don't last very long. I don't think I've ever had a flash drive that lasted a year without breaking or getting lost.
Their CDR / DVD blanks are not as durable as before since they switched most of their production away from Japan to cut costs, Like most other big brand names.
Hey, the cheaper the better for me, but how is this going to be profitable for them? The flash memory market is already gorged^10
Yet more packaging to clog up the Pacific Ocean after forcing everyone to strain their fingers and thumbs attempting to open it.
I recently received some Sandisk SD cards from Amazon. There was no packaging, just the two cards in their flip open plastic protective cases - mailed in a Jiffy bag not much larger. Way to go Amazon.
Maxell? It's 2009 and the world's hurting. Get with it!
(Store displays can use dummy packaging that is not actually given to the consumer. Just the cards ma'am!)
I always resort to stabbing the packaging with scissors. It never works but it makes me feel so much better before the mad ripping of the package and the blood from my hand that will soon flow forth.
This is funny. Cause i have had an old maxell 512mb flash drive for a couple years.
here's the real deal though. it was a sandisk (? can't remember) flash drive that had been rebranded as maxell.
Just how "high speed" is this CompactFlash?
I really want that micro-SD reader. It actually looks like a normal USB drive, compact and size worthy.
What does "one-year-lifetime" warranty mean? Do they expect me to live one year after I purchase their SD card?
Bill Just confirmed the warranty statement by saying " In Ireland and UK we have had Maxell Flash cards and usb sticks for years. I have about ten of their usb drives somewhere. They are usually the cheapest. But they don't last very long. I don't think I've ever had a flash drive that lasted a year without breaking or getting lost."
So they the lifetime is definitely 1 year. Which is coincidentally the lifetime of Ace of Base's popularity!
(I kid, I kid, my wife loves Ace of Base and has all of their 3 or 4 CD's)
