White Samsung Galaxy spotted in the wild

We just caught a glimpse of a white / silver Samsung Galaxy yesterday, but it looks like any doubts about its realness have now been put to rest, as the very same Android-based phone has now been spotted in the wild. As you might expect, however, there's apparently no other differences compared to the standard black Galaxy we've been seeing all along and, just like the black model, this one will reportedly be available first on O2 Germany before rolling out to other carriers in Europe. And, no, there's still no word of a release 'round here.

WINMO7ISTHEWATOFFUTURE!!!
are u sure it's the WAT of future?
i agree with you but the future is not here yet and this is!!!
ouch!
You are quickly turning into the Paul. A. Chapel of WinMo.
I like WinMo too, but get over yourself.
Does anyone else think that this appears to be a "Dummy Phone"? That screen looks fake to me.
*crickets
omg i didnt think perfection could be perfected but i was wrong... come to tmobile now!!!
Wow. Made a device I was already salivating for look even better! Come to T-Mobile US immediately!
yes, I want this on Tmobile NOW!!!
No.... Anything except T-Mobile!! Their coverage is too poor!!
I would prefer something like Vodafone or O2.
@Hmm
They're talking about T-Mobile in United States, buddy. From what I've heard from friends abroad, T-Mobile has a much more reliable network in Europe.
something tells me this is going to be the Samsung Instinct G that we heard about from sprint a few months back in some leaked documents
Looks nice, edges remind me of the white Nokia N97 somehow.
gah damn... whats with the suprizebuttsex look....
Dunno what you're talking about... Damn just occured to me that Sense UI Would look NICEE on this device!
talkin' about your avatar, dude. its fierce how you did it... just slightly creepy, lol
and you're right... if it had the perk of the sense UI i would so get it... but as it is... i think ill just stick to my g1, ya digg
G1's still good dude. That's just chargin ma laser face on top of the normal engadget icon, did it in Photoshop.
"Looks nice, [...] remind me of the white Nokia N97"
Does not compute
@khav, you might wanna get a new computer then.
reminds me more of the N79 then the N97...
Looks good. This may be the T-Mobile Android handset I've been waiting for, after hearing that Hero is going to Sprint. However, my mileage with Samsung devices as of late hasn't been so good...
having oled is really nice... but it needs a lil more to make me want it... and i really need an actual keyboard... typing on a screen sux for me :\
that picture doesn't look very in the wild-y.
Not blurry enough for you? Someone needs a bit of motion blur, pronto!
yeah, methinks this is just a render, not a real "in the wild" shot, which is usually taken in someone's hand. When you hit the jump, it looks even more like a render.
I was thinking render the minute I saw the USB connected icon in the upper left. Unless someone Photochopped out the USB cable...
OMG It is SO NICE in white! It was boring and ugly in black but I want it in white!
Damn.
Can AT&T get some decent effing phones please? All these phones clear the FCC with ATT 3G bands and then get swallowed by Steve Job's asshole.
you win
*GASP*!!!
DO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!!!!!
me too =(
Ha, I love it when you wonder when things will be released 'round here'. Yes I know this is an American website but you use writers from all over the world, and this website is read from all over the world. When you write 'round here' I think who cares, when will it be available where I live.
Even you yourself have realized that he means America when he says "'round here." I'm sure all of the other readers around the world know that "'round here" means the U.S.
There are dedicated Engadget sites for other regions of the world.
If you want to know when a product is going to be available where you live, find a site that specializes in products where you live.
I live in America, hence I come to Engadget.
This phone, compared to the Hero, is ugly. It looks like a feature phone.
When I read the headline, I first thought of some astronomer naming a new galaxy after Samsung.
see a another picture of white Samsung Galaxy on http://www.ilogan.info/photos-un-samsung-galaxy-blanc/
I've got the black one for about two weeks now and I really love it. Had the Nokia N97 before and changed it. I'm really happy with the phone. Hope you can buy and enjoy it soon!
i read on a german forum that the white model will be exclusive to o2s 'veteran' customers. For now that is...
That's a goooood looking phone. Having Android just makes it all that much better
That looks like a dummy. It's not the actual phone, just a hollow display.
Looks awesome.. Now release one with a freakin KEYBOARD!
Thanks.
