If the party's any good, it'll be crowded and people will block the camera, unless you rope it off which isn't practical. Would be nice to mount it above the crowd (although pictures might seem odd) like a security camera on a tall tripod. Also good to have the camera roam the room so that shots aren't always from the same angle and/or of the same people who have camped out in the same location for a long time.
