unless you lived under a rock in the 1990s (or in the US), they had a hit song called 'Born Slippy'. I'm pretty sure everyone's heard it, even if they didn't know who it was by at the time.

you did NOT just compare Underworld with PvD... I've seen PvD twice and left nothing but unimpressed. In fact, I think I walked out of his set the second time around. Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Sasha & Digweed, Kraftwerk, are all comaprable to Underworld. You couldn't pay me to see PvD again...

Go learn about electronic music. Tiesto is pointless and untalented. Daft Punk may be pointless but they have some talent. But (and this is where you being a jackass comes into play) Paul van Dyk is an electronic music pioneer. The last album he came out with may not have been popular for such tough critics as yourself, but I suggest you listen to a track called "Child Two" which he remixed by the tranceparents.
So no Major4Play the whole pointless and non-talented part applies to you.

agreed the born slippy - .nuxx remix (the one with the vocals) is more well known, but it also got underworld the recognition they deserve, but the original is still good. i hate the fact that most mix CD's label the .nuxx version as the original underworld version and not as a remix, but hell its a good track.
underworld are awesome in their own right as DJ's, (i dunno if they are 1 or more persons, last time i saw them i was too drunk to look) so i should probably have added that in.

Yeah you can watch the whole thing from your browser. And somebody got their information wrong because it's not a live stream, they played in Oakland yesterday and are playing in LA today.

Yeah, this was actually LAST night, but it was GREAT. The show was posted so you can re-watch it. It will work from your computer or iphone.
I can't believe you little kids are comparing second-rate crappy DJs to defend Underworld's artistic capabilities. Underworld are not DJs. Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, all the rest of the no-talent brigade, they make music to fill their pockets and so the guido kids can bop around with their apple martinis for two hours then go back to their hotel rooms $100 lighter and have unfulfilling meaningless sex.
Don't get me started on Daft Punk. Their music is entirely sampled, and they fake their live shows.
Underworld are artists, one of the few groups of artists left in the electronic music industry because people seem to think edm is just for fun and there is nothing you can express with electronic music.
Also facepalm@all the kids talking about Born Slippy. Yeah you're totally OG; you definitely didn't hear it on the Trainspotting OST and decided that you love the band now.
By funny little kids I assume you mean me. Well,genius,I've been involved with electronic music since it was conceived in the early 80s and late 90s. I used Paul Van Dyk as an example because if you listen to his album 45rpm you'll realize it set the standard for electronic music for the next 20 years.
In that sense Underworld IS comparable to Paul van Dyk. I'll give you this, Tiesto and all the other diggity diggity tra la la vocal trance crap is attrocious, but give credit where it's due. Back in the 80's Underworld were essentially copying New Order by using conventional synth that sounded like it belonged in a bad episode of Miami Vice.
Facepalm at you for not recognizing an artist that helped Underworld achieve that so-called "Trainspotting OST Track". A track that existed a year before that movie came out that I still have on tape (not a cd or mp3).
I actually remember Underworld from the 80s. I doubt anyone remembers "Change the Weather". But Yah, Underworld is the best. I have every US release, several imports and dozens of live bootlegs. Can't get enough. Seen them live a few times too, Simply amazing.

Man, I remember Underworld from way way back, mid 80s when Underneath the Radar came out and they were sort of electronic alternative. They have changed a lot over the years.
Watching the streaming now.and it's buffered a few times... but so far, it's been pretty reliable.
Very cool what they are doing. Would love to see other bands do stuff like this.

I was @ the actual concert and needless to say, there were iphone users tuning into the very show they were at. In any case, the most fun was bouncing the balloons during Born Slippy (.Nuxx) and if I'm not mistaken, were there a couple of new tracks played? (i.e. track before King of Snake)
