"As someone who doesn't reside in the USA, I was wondering what would be the best way to get internet for my computer in the US for a couple of weeks? If it were Europe I know I'd look for some prepaid data. Is there anything similar offered by American carriers? A MiFi or a data SIM that I can tether from would work, but I'm trying to maintain a tight budget. Help!"
Seems totally bizarre that they would eliminate their low-cost option completely. With the Zune HD costing less than we expected, maybe they should drop the Zune 8 to $99 and keep it around as an entry level, even if they decide not to keep the Zune 16 anymore. I have a Zune 8 and it's a pretty great MP3 player, it would be the best low-cost option on the market at $99.
I have a 8GB also, and I love the thing. I'll have a tough time convincing the wife I need to upgrade to a Zune HD, but I'll give it a shot.
Maybe they're quietly updating the 8GB. I really do like my Zune. Is it perfect? Nope. The battery life in particular is my biggest gripe. I also wish it came with normalization and the ability to play a wider variety of file types.
