Update: If you needed any more reason to take September 15th off from work, Buy.com has a Zune HD countdown leading to that very day. Huzzah! Thanks, Stephen!
So I looked up the SKU @ work today (Best Buy). Apparently the 16gb model is in black and the 32gb model is in silver.
I am no MS fanboy, but the Zune does look nice. That isn't the best part of these posts though... that honor goes to the Apple fanboys stricken with ZDS(Zune Derangement Syndrome).
Great news, I'm looking forward to seeing one in action

Well Microsoft should be off to a good start. I can count at least 70 Engadget fan bois wanting it. Not bad, not bad at all.
Just to play Devil's Advocate.. Is this really going to be an iPod killer? Everyone said the same about the Palm Pre, but very little suggests that the iPhone's sales have been impeded by the Pre. This isn't fanboyism, this is rationalism. What we are more likely to see is an excellent product competing against an extremely popular one. Regardless of quality, the average person doesn't know better anyway, or has a preference based on massive exposure to iPods.
It also surprises me that it's unacceptable for some people to dislike the Zune in some way. They've seen the same amount of info as we have so why does having a different opinion make them an ignorant fanboy? People flock to Apple articles to give their 2c over why XYZ product is crap without thought, so it seems a little hypocritical that people can be so defensive over the Zune HD and not draw some parallels between the fact that you can have Apple fanboys as well as Microsoft ones.
Just to clarify, I would definitely buy the HD if I didn't already have an MP3 player that doesn't need replacing at the moment. I think it looks great, but people also need to get some perspective.
Never thought I'd see the day where I'd be lusting after a ZUNE, cause lets be fair, how often do you see Zunes in the wild. However if this doesn't have mac support looks like a no go for me.
Mac support? All Zunes have Mac support. You just need to run Boot Camp or Parellels, get a copy of Windows and that's it.
Or just get a good PC.
Forgot about boot camp and/or parallels. Don't use either, but it would be nice and much easier if the support was native. I currently own a 160gig classic, and an iPhone but I would be fooling myself if I said the new HD wasn't tempting.

I know you can get Parralles/Bootcamp/VMWare and run their program. But come on. Even Apple gave support for Windows OS.
I cannot see any real benefits over the iPod Touch ATM at all. Yes, I know, Tegra, HD. Great. What about the 3rd Party Apps? They now have to pull developers in from Apple and Google's app stores. If it won't be worldwide, I doubt it happening.

I'm good with my Zune 80GB right now, but I'm hoping that by the time that constant companion kicks the bucket, the Zune HD will have matching capacity. As beautiful as this new Zune is, 32GB just wouldn't cut it for me right now.
Of course ZuneHD is no ipod killer, but that is because the me too's and any other average citizen will automatically buy the ipod even if it is a worse product.
