Keen eyed HP MediaSmart server fans peeped a new version number in a test software update package, 3.1.0.00000. There's no indication what that possible software update might contain, but that hasn't stopped speculation focusing on the possibility of this either being the EX and LX series update promised a few months ago, or a hint towards all new hardware on the way.
