BenQ grabs green card with LED-backlit V2200 / V2400 Eco monitors
We firmly believe that the all-too-popular 'green card' is flailed about far too haphazardly these days, but whatever the case, BenQ's sure doing its darnedest to explain just how much Ma Earth adores its latest duo of V Series monitors. The 24-inch V2400 Eco and 21.5-inch V2200 Eco are both outfitted with LED-backlit 1080p panels, comically inflated dynamic contrast ratios (5,000,000:1, if you can even believe that) and a shell constructed from 28 percent recycled plastic. Meanwhile, we're told these panels can suck down around 30 percent less power while in Eco mode, and overall, they consume approximately 36 percent less power than CCFL displays. If you're onboard with everything, look for these to land in your neck of the woods soon, with China getting 'em first in a week or so.

This looks rather nice at least for BenQ it does.
beautiful monitor most nicest designs have benq
Looks really nice. Though I'm still waiting around for a non-TN monitor with LED backlight (that's not made by Apple).
1080P :/ We want 1900x 1200!!
BTW how much is the price going to be?
I'd LOVE to see 1920x1200 instead. Actually better yet would be 2048x1200. 1024 x2 is really sweet for designing sites.
Just receivevd my Dell G2410 (24" led backlit) and it doesn't fail to impress. After having an LED backlit laptop, there was no choice for me but to get an led backlit monitor. I'm in the process now of replacing all the monitors in the house with the Dells. They simply make my Samsung lcds look dingy.
I do agree with Bash though, the one improvement I'd make it to go to 1920x1200 (where's my extra 120 horizontal lines?)
Both the Dell and BenQ look nice, but they are both TN. Nuf said.
looks very nice, designwise.
Nappa, what does the scouter say about the BenQ's contrast ratio? It's over 9000!
1080p monitors are worthless.
Please for the love of all that is holy, 16:10 ratios!
uhhhh a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio?! in other words that means.....?
It's the difference between the deepest black and the brightest white it can output... in ideal conditions where it can pull its tricks.
It will rarely, if ever, hit that in every day usage but you can still safely assume you'll have a picture that's not as dull and washed out as most LCD monitors but more like your good old 800lbs CRT monitor.
And 16:10 can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. Enough with the aspect ratio mess already. HDTV is 16:9, Consoles are 16:9, so I'd rather have a monitor that can natively handle those. For the record, I currently own a 24" 16:10 Dell monitor.
Looks real nice for a screen, but happy with my HP.
Would be looking into a Matte screen in the future though.
I would recommend you do so. I cringe when I see those retail HP LCD's with glossy fronts.
WoW! your website have the great information about greencard.I'm sure I will be back again.
