Engadget Podcast -- live on USTREAM... right now!

Update: Well, that was certainly a rockin' good time -- we'll have to do that again real soon! Thanks to everyone who listened in, and check back tomorrow if you missed it, we'll have our regular podcast post up. (Nilay's audio will be louder on the archived version, there were some issues streaming his mic.)

Awesome, hope you guys keep this up
Josh, you never answered my question:
Will you marry me?
Love,
Lightingpenguin
Hooray Engadget Live!
If only there was video/chat :p
I agree, although for me I can't access fancy things like that on my iPhone or my computers horrible dialup connection.
looking forward to the unedited goodness
Pretty good so far.
Ooooh, sexy time chat! HIIIIIIIII
sd
Audio only?
Yeah, its a shame. Guess we'll have to use our imaginations! ;)
oooh sexy time chat!!
no landscape qwerty? wasnt that 1 of the biggest problems with the iPhone pre 2.0
Nilay, SPEAK UP
No kidding...he is quiet as hell
The tweet lead me to believe Morpheus was fighting Neo. Or at least Paul was fighting Nilay.
"Guys. ...Guys. ...Guys." --Joshua Topolsky
wait if you guys are all here... who's running the press?!?!?!?!!!! :o
rawr.
I thought there was gonna be video streaming like Leo Laporte does. Nonetheless I'm enjoying it so far. Good luck guys!!
These are some horrible analogies lol. Windows 7 device support is amazing though.
The live chat room is cranking. I hope Josh reads my comments. I've never come this close to a true celebrity. I'll pass out if he mentions my name on the air *screams hysterically*
hey, why'd they start without ME?!
This is way more fun than a regular work day!
Aw, because they excluded you from their secret club?
whoever the quiet guy is, we can't hear you
Nilay,
you need to get closer to the mic!
Cool, I've been watching/chatting on the engadget HD livestreams for a bit now and it does add another dimension to it. Hopefully next time you guys will do the live chat too. The HD guys often will talk about a topic for a while, then they check the chat for any interesting comments to respond to.
Anyway, thanks for doing this, listening right now.
OK my bad, we do have the chat. anyway, cool deal.
Awesome stuff. Podcast manager you say?
Did that just happen? Where Josh and Nilay just here in the chat room? Surreal.
uStream + something like Cover It Live (http://www.coveritlive.com/index.php)
it allows user chat and audio streams plus the moderators could paste in helpful links (engadget stories to what you are talking about would be helpful!)
Curses, can't see it on ze iphone.
lol. I started it going "yay engadget!" then immediately browsed away and I couldnt figure out why it stopped.
Go me.
You guys are making it hard not to laugh really loud in the office here…slapshot
The live chat is great .. never bothered with your pre recorded podcasts. Nilay needs to speak up and we also want VIDEO!!!! Hope future podcasts will be live (and video will be icing on the cake!)
you can't hear Nilay
Dell is like Wal-mart in the computing world...
a Dell phone is not really exciting for me...
I think compact camera's are just fighting so hard to differentiate themselves it's getting hard to make any noise. They have already fought the price battle, now we're in the feature stage of the fight, and once the useful ones are settled, the price war will come in again in another 12 months or so. I do honestly think sub compacts are going to get destroyed by smartphones in the next 2-3 years though. If I look at a picture from an n97/n86 and then one from a $150 sub compact, the difference isn't striking.

Well that was fun. The chat room covered such important material as whether Steve Jobs has a real neck, irrational fears of clowns & Symbian, and whether Josh was a cyborg and/or was available for marriage.
He's mine! Back off!

Boo! I missed it! Next time, chaps... next time.
Two steps away from live video. It's not that much more work. A couple webcams... webcammax maybe. Bang, you're there. But either way... much appreciated the effort you put in.
