Is it just me or is the Zune always one step behind the iPod line.
Yes, I know the Zune HD has a lot of new things the iPod touch doesn't but the general public don't care about Tegra! Most people are going to see this and think wow an iPod touch / Flip Video!!! I WANT IT!

Those people could go out and get an iPhone... Don't get me wrong, people are gonna buy this thing like crazy, but they would regardless of what it did or didn't have. Honestly, though, I think if people were given an iPod touch and a Zune HD(especially if the names/branding were removed) to actually play around with and were asked which one is better, a massive majority would choose the Zune HD. But, sometimes things just work out like that.

As a PMP, the zune HD seems to by far outdo the iPod Touch in terms of sound quality, screen quality (OLED is awesome on my Nokia N85, so i'm guessing it'll be great here) and unless Apple surprise me, PRICE too!
Sure, MOST people will buy this over the zune HD, but MOST people in the UK seem to like Lady Gaga - doesn't make her any good!!
P.S who doesn't have a camera phone nowadays??? who needs another video device?? especially one without the ability to send taken videos to other devices via bluetooth?

The iPhone 3GS video camera is pretty good. Seems like the iPod Touch camera would be the same.
You're an idiot. For the people who buy the iPod touches, it's better to have a camera on it than to not have one. If it's the same camera as the one on the 3GS then it's going to be a pretty good camera, better than many people's cameras on their phones. This would keep some people from carrying around a phone, iPod, and a separate camera.
It'll also be good for apps that let you share pictures or edit them. Instead of syncing your iPod to your computer or copying each picture, one by one, from Photobucket, TinyPic, etc. whenever you want new pictures, you can take new pictures right on the device.
Next time you make a post, think about what you're going to say BEFORE you say it.

Ironically, the camera that took this is an iphone 3GS video camera.. the same one slated to go in the ipod touch. Kinda demonstrates the pointlessness of it.
I imagine a lot of these leaks come from people who only have access to the devices at work, and are not allowed to carry cameras while on the job. It's much easier to take a quick snap while pretending to text or whatever, than to actually pull out a full-fledged camera and set up a good shot.
Oh, and this camera is worthless to me until they include a flash too.

Have you ever SEEN an OLED screen in person? Go to a Sony Style store and look at the XEL-1 11" display as well as their new OLED walkman. Yes, the screens are small, but the contrast and clarity are unparalleled to anything but CRTs and the highest end plasmas.
meh, camera and mic (possibly), but whats the point of skyping with it if you cant even see the other person. sure it wont be used a lot for that and its better to have it in the back for more obvious reasons, but i was hoping for maybe a swivle camera.
i was thinking about getting the new itouch now because how much it will actually cost for the dock and cables to connect a zunehd to your tv, but now i really dont want either.

If the video on the new iPod Touch is as good as the video on the iPhone 3GS, it will be a good device. Plus the ability to upload video over WIFI, built-in editing, etc.
