Bunch of unreleased Nokias caught chatting amongst themselves
At a quick glance, you might write off this picture as nothing more than a rehash of recently-launched Nokia models. Look closer, though -- way closer -- and you might notice that the phone in the front is actually an N97 Mini (check d-padless keyboard, for instance). Going around the table, you realize that we're actually dealing with a who's-who of new and unannounced gear: a 6760 (Yanks know this as the Surge), an E72, E52, and a chromed-up touchscreen device that looks like it could be the long-rumored 5900 XpressMusic. Who has access to all this awesome stuff? Some retailer, apparently, who's got a public Flickr account and a happy shutter finger. We'll take one of each, please.Update: At the owner's request, we've had to pull the photograph. Sorry, folks!

the E52 is released in Qatar (has been for two weeks now). I'm actually using one right now :)
Someone's getting fired!
In other news, it is to bad about that Nokia intern dieing in that awful carjacking ... it seems his Nokia phone with GPS led him into bad neighborhood. So sad.
Oh come on! It was a joke! Lighten up....
It seems like it's your comment that's lightening up...
oh, you're so witty! ^_^
I think I will rank you up!
Actually my comment appears to be the same shade of gray that yours is a few posts down. Oh, well.
Oh, don't worry - I've gotten used to it. I'm sure the ones responsible for both our comments' suffering are Engadget's resident Nokia fanboys: Mark Anderson and Aaron.
I think the fact you are fuckwits may have more to do with it.
this is what it would look like if robots could shit
Yeah, but they'd be robots created to shit awesome phones.
I believe that's why Apple bought PA Semi.
Think for a Second will ya! We all hate these stupid "first" posts....
@ sacapuntas
Did you just try to make a "SECOND!!" post by capitalizing the "second" in your sentence?
Man, these look so uninspiring! I am sure they have the most amazing features and the best screens my thumb can slide across, but they just look like the crap my dad would have in his hip holster back in 95!
I would agree with you on the specs being kind of trashy (except for the cameras, which are spectacular on some models). On the other hand resistive screen tech can be really good. For example have you tried the touchpro2 out? The screen allows for gestures (such as swiping) and the touchflo2 interface is actually built on the principal of sliding your finger across the screen. I digress, my point is that resistive tech can be good, but from what I have seen nokia's touchscreen phones seem to be a bit sub-par lately. D:
Can Nokia say: "No employees are being harmed during the process of taking this picture." ? Or would we see news of some Nokia employee got into an "accident" later? LOL.
No, as far as I understand, Apple has already patented the process of "fatal employee 'accidents' after leaking prototypes".
The silver phone closest to the camera reminds me of the Zune. It's got the Squircle/Zune Pad going on.
@ MC Nugget
I shall never tell! From hence'fourth a mute!
ziegler,
nokia.
bye.
It seems like my dream of being called something other than an Apple fanboy is finally coming true!
How difficult is it to take a decent none blurry picture?? So many bloody morons this days!
Irony.
the two phones at the top look like the black and silver versions of the 6303, the one next to the '5900' looks like the 6600i
If only they could make a decent app store
Yes it's so boring spending 15 seconds googling for S60 apps, there are thousands of them.
@ Iloveapple
"That doesn't change the fact that their official application store, which should be the user's first port of call, is a steamping pile of excrement straight from Olli-Pekka Kalashnikov's rear."
These phones appeal to people obviously of as higher level of technical competence to you and other I-cult members whom make the majority of Iphone users cringe.
Why would we want an app store to be our main source of apps? Having an App store where one single company can keep the majority phone users locked into only using the apps they deem worthy (or their bed mate ATT). Sounds like a bad plan.. let's see...
How's that QIK over 3g working out for you? Hmm... Wait you could always tethe..... no wait you can't, but at least you can send someone an MMS... ohh wait... damn. At least you finally got copy and paste, it will be useful for entering those massive ass URLs you get when people send you a picture message and you have to log in to a site to read it... Thankfully you can tab from your email over to your browse... Oh wait.. you can't can you?
In my steaming pile of an app store I can download an app for every single one of those things I just listed. So while you have exclusive, direct and easy access to 1,000s of stupid flash games and fart apps, I can go into my "shitty" app store and download apps to use over my phones 3g connection.
Yeah, somehow, I suddenly feel even better knowing my Iphone is sitting in a drawer and I can download apps for my 5800 all over the internet. Guess our crappy little Nokias with their old school UI still have a few benefits....
Umm, iPhone does have tethering/MMS - i received one the other day.
Now i've just gotta find a use for it
Auto-Focus fail.
They are just bitching about Nokla.
wow, your tongue is crazy...
I see what you did there.
E72 is my friend , I hope We get to spend time together when it finally get released
I'm hoping the E72 gets good reviews. I've owned the E71 since Jan and it has been the most robust and reliable phone I have owned.
I agree with other users that the Ovi store does need a kick up the backside to offer more apps.
Eh, I'm not that excited about the E72. The E71 was awesome, but now they are releasing another weak processor and QVGA screen. Come on Nokia, let's see some great screen res on S60!
Well, I wouldn't call 600MHz ARM11 CPU weak. It's more than enough for that kind of device.
I think the e72 looks good. A lot of products don't look good outside of press shots or until you see them up close and actually get a hands on. You also need to consider the feel or a product when in use - does it feel robust and reliable or cheap and flimsy?
Another batch of nobody cares phones.
"Amongst" is considered archaic. Change the title.
Are you quite serious?
Your title is fine :~)
May I lick you?
Quite, Mr. Ziegler. Jolly good show! I say! Would you like some tea, old chap? Coor, mayte? Bloody hell!
keep the e72 and e52 away from eachother. they look horny (we dont wanna end up with a bunch of baby 3210s)
no d-pad....go luck having to use your finger for text editing. hate that on teh iPhone
It ha arrow keys.
This topic should of been called "Bunch of lonely Nokias caught crying amongst themselves."
The chrome rounded one could be 5800i instead of 5900.
Here's something nobody else seems to have noticed. Why is there a N97 in the picture if all phones are new and unreleased? New version or just for size reference?
And the photos are gone... By the request of the owner.
Why send the photos when you don't want them to be posted? Actually, I think Appl- I mean Nokia is posting these photos. *wink, wink*
You know, for hype?
