I don't see the attractive qualities in having a media player that is also a phone and a gaming "console" (cough cough iFanboys). It's inevitable that all of the functions will be sub-par from a device that focuses solely on one of these aspects. Also, it is inefficient and eats battery life.
except they would probably jack up the price to something ridiculous like $600 and you would need a stupid carrier with a 2 year contract to bring it down to a reasonable price...
@pczuneman: Seems more likely it was just people who want to see it be a phone... Since you didn't actually say anything overtly in favor of the Zune HD or against the iPhone...
it's sad, but technology hasn't evolved to the point where you can have one device that does everything well. IMHO there is exactly ZERO devices out there that do phone, large contact list, messaging, web browsing, gaming, music, video's, pictures, document management all really well. I have an HTC Touch Pro - it only does about a third of those well, iPhone maybe does the other two thirds really well, but nothing yet is the KILLER device that hands down, beats everything else. Perhaps we should stop trying?

It's too bad it's not a phone. Boy, that'd be a killer threat to any current cellular mobile device.

I agree with you two. This does not need to be a phone.
Looks like the iFanboi horde has met my opinions with a swift and harsh down ranking!

He did take a little strike at the fanboys, but that's all in good fun.
