Looks more like a functional piece of Ikea furniture. Don't sell it to Ikea though, they'll take it and make it soul-less. On that note, couldn't you just sell it as a well designed TV/monitor/ultra-modern office work desk rather than as a portable computer? The future of open plan offices and TV stands?

What about mounting an iMac, the 24 inch has VESA-holes. But the idea isn't bad if it would be more affordable than a laptop.

Great design but really too bad about the built in PC. Would be great as a workstation for the Laptop and connect an extra monitor on top. I Can see my MB 15" on that and the 24" on top, would be cool with a decent pricetag. My guess is that the market for it would be slightly bigger :)
The lifespan of an average desk is what? 10 years for a good product? And a PC?
i can see myself taking my big ass liquid cooled pc to my m8 house or down to the pub,garden and driving(put a engine on it) it along the highway/moterway using one of these all while doing some pron on the internet........ well it would have wifi,bt 3g or gps on it :) :O :S :P!!!

Humorous comments about porn in public aside, this actually has some merit... Not so much in the great outdoors, but I could see a number of commercial applications for temporary displays or promotional activities that wouldn't be hindered by having to run extension cords from the nearest, inconveniently placed outlet.
agree. my immediate thought was using these as mobile workstations in a hospital environment. you see a lot of "laptops on carts" used in bedside patient care nowadays; ergonomically and space-wise, this could prove to be a lot more space efficient, providing that the equipment can be made intrinsically safe.
