The Nielsen Company presented a cadre of individuals with a list of nice, shiny gadgets and let them cross off anything and everything they'd like to buy in the next six months, and 31 percent of kids 6-12 picked the iPad as one of them.

If the new upgraded cell processor makes the PS3 "faster", which I doubt it does, its obvious why sony would want to keep that on the DL. Then most consumer would be like F that I want that faster one for the same price and sony would have all those chubbys collecting dust. This way they can sell them to people who don't care for the size, weight or new look of the PS3 slim and buy all the phat ones. However it would be interesting to see if the price of the chubby PS3 drops even further when the slim is finally available at stores. Shhhhhhiiiiiiit $250 for a PS3 = $250 less in my pocket.
Because fat PS3s are just flying off the shelves now, right?
Well sales have surely picked up since the price drop that's for sure.
