Casio finds one more compact camera to debut: the Exilim EX-Z33
Thought Casio was done when it rolled out three mostly similar Exilim compact cameras earlier this week? Think again, 'cause the company's now let slip its new Exilim EX-Z33 model, which offers just a little bit less all around compared to its slightly higher-end counterparts. That includes 10.1 megapixels as opposed to twelve, a 3x optical zoom instead of a 4x, and a 2.5-inch widescreen LCD instead of a 2.7- or 3.0-incher. You'll also get the usual face recognition and best shot modes, a built-in YouTube video mode to take some of the work out of uploading, and an all new Easy Mode that's supposedly even easier to use than before. No word on a price just yet, but we'd assume it'll be less than the $149 Casio is asking for its more capable EX-Z90.

FIRST the camera, the window into the soul. Casio once again gives us a chance to capture the true moments we see in everyday life. Is the quality of this capture truefully the most important feeling that we need to get? Isn't the essance of the moment the true goal? One day cameras will capture "mood" and "feeling" as well as just an image. Lets not look down upon this capture device because of 10.1 megapixels, but look at the price and see that many will beable to share there moments with loved ones and youtube (the void of strange men) I ask again friends, let us embrace technology and enjoy our time in the 21st century. we can belong to love and peace, and now capture it for future generations.
You clever devil, you.
"Lets not look down upon this capture device because of 10.1 megapixels,"
Yeah, they should have given in at least 20 megapixels so that not even ISO 100 would be usable.
That was the first thing over a sentence on Engadget that I've read.
Thank god it's 10.1 and not 10 megapixels.
WHEW
I am sold.
Another bore fest.
I usually deal with high-end HD motion cameras, but need a still camera which allows me to shoot 1 minute videos in SD and upload them to youtube and other video sites as fast as possible. Any recommendations?

A cell phone.
After a bad experience with noise on two separate Canon G10s, being only 10 megapix is a god send.
The G10 is so bad even 15-second RAW exposures on ISO 80 are full of noise. The reviewers either had vastly better units than retail, or the two my Dad has had from the shop are both duff.
On the subject of Exilims, I've got a point and shoot 7.2 meg one and I really like it, despite being a devout 20D user.
