Still, I think this is better than the traditional bright pink that gets slapped on every other gadget. Besides Engadget, we all know how crazy you go over Hello Kitty stuff, you're probably picturing little whiskers and triangle ears all over the back of that Hero, and getting that warm feeling inside.

The colour pink is fine but why do they have to pick such hideous shades? I mean what executive sat down with a colour chart with all 600 million shades of pink and said ok to that grossness?
Weird. I saw one of these 2 weeks ago as a demo unit in the Windsor (England) branch of Carphone Warehouse. It was a dummy phone. The pink is pastel and dreary. Looks like a cheap knockoff.

And I thought it was about HTC announcing a new version of the Hero but with a (HTC cooked up multi-touch equipped) capacitive screen running Win Mo 6.5 OS :(

It seems like exterior is not the only thing the people at HTC are working on. Apparently, HTC seems to have an update for the Sense UI, as indicated by Paul O'Brien at MoDaCo.

Yes, I sent that link to Engadget a couple of days ago but no mention so far. Perhaps they're waiting for the official release when they will no doubt give it the same coverage they gave Mobile OS X v2.0.
