How would you change Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus add-on?
It took the Big N right around a year to actually ship its Wii MotionPlus dongle after first showing it off at E3 2008, and now we're curious to know if you think the wait was worth it. We've already spilled our deepest, darkest thoughts on the $20 add-on accessory, but now that Wii Sports Resort is out (and still firmly lodged within your Wii's optical drive), we just can't wait another second to hear from end users. Are you pleased with the additional sensing capabilities? Has it enhanced your gameplay as you thought it would? What aspects would you like to see changed? You just paid a Jackson for a brick that attaches to your perfectly functional Wiimote -- don't miss your chance to pick it apart.

I think they need to build that tech into the wiimote somehow. Not saying it's even possible but really it should have been this way from the start. They need to be selling the wiimotes with this technology built in and not as an add on.
I dig it. I certainly notice a difference.
I do have to say, I'd like to stop having the Motion Plus video force-fed to me at seemingly random intervals. There needs to be a way to skip through it. It's incredibly infuriating.
Put a motor on the gyroscope inside of the motionplus, so they can spin it at 15000 rpm (like a powerball) and achieve very strong haptic feedback. Instantly. :)
Am I on to something or am I on to something?
Someone's master's thesis for next year: "Strong haptic feedback for free form gestural controllers using gyroscopes."
Apparently, I was on to something, but too late:

Would be very nice if they built it in though...
I am still 100% sure that Nintendo Wii is away far from motion intelligence and as highly precisely motion device. Let get honest and compare it to new announced PS3 motion controller http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/02/sony-announces-new-ps3-motion-controller/
the motion detector of PS3 detector is away better and precise, you get such a smooth motion reflection. It still in production but from samples presented we can see a huge difference.
So what would i change in Wii motion plus controller, i would just through that away and invest another billion to develop something better. Besides that i would get more ideas from PS3 controller and not get lower or worse then that but better.
You are a sad git to be honest.
Making it build in, of course, but also explaining the method of recalibration they used in Wii Sports Resort to developers. I do NOT want to deal with drift.
Send em out for free, this is something that should of been built into the wii remote from the start, if you want the "full" experience you need $40 wii remote + $20 nunchuck + $25 wii motion plus dongle = $85(USD) to play your game, i want to pay $55 maybe $60 for the whole controller package. but what am i whining about, i just use my wii to playing rock band and guitar hero, because of the huge rip-offs on nintendo's part
ps does anyone besides me not use the wii-remote jacket?
Make the whole thing into a glove!?
Intel seem to think it's a good idea... check out project Orick and the SOMA glove

Got to have a better shape for those of us who dont want the jacket on.
I dont like that stupid silly-cone sleeve.
I like the new dueling game a lot. It would be impossible without Motion Plus. Since I duel two handed I like the extra length.
The new bowling game is much smoother and my husband likes the basketball game.
I also like the feel of the silicon sleeve.
If it made the older games smoother I would be even happier.
I want a light saber game!!!
I know. Maybe in the next console generation, Nintendo will have the balls to tell everyone that the Wii wasn't in reality a game console, and that it was just some kind of wierd experiment to see how far peolple will keep buying that amazing and ultra entertaining console. In the meanwhile they should just burn the Wii's in a lava pit. ;)
they should just burn the Wii
