Zune HD box contents spotted at Best Buy
We've already gotten a glimpse of the Zune HD's packaging courtesy of Best Buy's big preview event this past weekend -- but what about the contents of said packaging? Therein lies excitement. Excitement like some giant fold-out instructions, a USB cable, and a pair of headphones that seem to be more or less identical to the ones that came with the Zune 120 -- oh, and a little thing called the Zune HD. Hit up the link below for a closer look, and a couple more demo videos for those that still can't get enough of the thing.

I ACTUALLY saw the ZUNE HD preview at my Bestbuy here in Miami. They were not allowing pics and were watching my cell (with camera) like hawks. They had all the boxes closed except a quick demo of its docking base and external cables attached to a HDTV. I did hold it and use except the WifFi was not working at that store. Its sleek, beautiful, excellent solid metal/glass construction and simple to use. A Microsoft rep. was there and asked me for my recommendations and here they were: 1) Why couldn't this thing be a freakin phone!!!! 2) It has no camera, why ??? 3) Its impressive but Microsoft better not f**k it up with software glitches and hardware problems...from the get-go.
I think if Microsoft gets it right it will be a serious competitor to the Apple iTouch iPod and then some...yeap it is that nice!!!!!
I forgot to add the OLED screen is gorgeous and movies plus pics look stunning on it!!!!
Because that gaudy, scratched up mirror backing is the pinnacle of high quality design. My sisters iPod touch looks like hell and she's only owned it for a short time in a case no less, while my Zune has been without a case for a year and looks brand new.
If you really hate Microsoft and love apple why are you here. Stop spamming hate mail. Everyone know that xbox and xbox 360 was a huge success not because of its hardware but because of its huge online fanbase in xbox live and its ability to communicate with friends. Also there is a three year extended warranty to all xbox’s due to the red rings of death. Sure Apple created the iphone and ipod touch first ,but those aren't even really about music anymore. The more apple invests into nifty new gadgets for the Ipod the more it becomes a PDA or a portable computer rather than a music device. Ipods have failed people who are core music listeners. Itunes may have come first but the zune software is far superior in my opinion. I am always missing album info and to get this in itunes is a pain since its get track names feature hardly works. Apple may be the innovator ,but that does not mean they create the best products.
I had a nice response, but I was like "ef it, I'll just hit the report button".
Well you can get the Zune Premium Headphones online and they are only $20 they are quite nice :D http://store.microsoft.com/microsoft/Zune-Premium-Headphones/product/307CA440
Wait a minute, is that a goddamned proprietary USB cable I see? I'd love an explanation (apart from the obvious: MS wants to sell me replacement cables) for the necessity of such a connector in lieu of mini-USB.
I'm not an apple fanboy, definitely not a MS fanboy, but I have to clarify things about the 360 because it's really bothering me and video games are my forte.
The Xbox was not successful. 24 or 34 million sold is pitiful, and I think the GC actually sold more then that world wide. PS2 sold 150 Million, so yeah... Xbox was crap.
Xbox 360 has enjoyed much more success but at some alarming losses as well. Producing on might be profitable, but the millions MS spent to fix RROD customers, plus the millions they throw at every project that ends up hitting them at another loss more then takes away any profit they make off of hardware. I hate to say what that apple fanboy said... but any other company and even the 360 would've been a failure. But MS has the patience and the funds to back it up.
That being said, I'm delighted to have a Zune HD in a couple of weeks. I'm not involved in the iPod versus Zune fight. I love my zune, it does what I want. Does everything the iPod does, but also has more. Better screen, wireless sync to the zune marketplace, has a radio on it. Music is cheaper, multiple pricing options available as well. Even apple fanboys need to admit: it's more dynamic then the ipod. If you're sticking by the iPod (and millions of people are) it's basically because of brand recognition and loyalty. That is all.
Except for the iPod touch. I LOVE those apps. But I'm talking about a MP3 player, not a "toy". If I wanted a "toy" I'd buy a PSP Go. That will atleast have Final Fantasy games.
