PlayOn for Wii beta to be announced tomorrow

We know that some of you streaming media fanatics have been indulging in this one for the better part of a month already, but just in case: tomorrow the kids at MediaMall officially announce the beta release of PlayOn for Wii. The software license runs $39.99, but there is a 14-day free trial -- so you can see for yourself whether or not it makes sense to tie up your console with re-runs of CSI: Miami when you could be better off shakin' your groove thing to Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party. ummmm its been on PS3 for a while now dude....thats what I have been using for Hulu AND Netflix
Also, Hulu ran directly on the PS3 (without the need for PlayOn) until the @$#@#s at Hulu actively blocked it.

If you really are affiliated with TheMediaMall, i just want to say. AWESOME job. Been using it for at least 6 months on the ps3 now and it rocks. THe only thing i would say is you guys need to advertise more. I am getting kind of sick having to post what amounts to a fanboi advert for you guys every time someone brings up streaming to the ps3. So advertise more cause your application is freaking awesome.
Ummm I need to click thru and see if this is an ADDITIONAL license or can I use my existing PlayOn for the Wii as well....although I doubt I will use it on ther much outside of streaming stuff in the kids room
Hello Chris. No need to pay again. Simply update to the latest version of PlayOn. Make sure you are on version 2.59.3518 or later. You can get the latest version from their website (version check doesn't always have the latest version right away). I've been using it since the 19th. Seems pretty good so far.

I have been using it for a little bit here for ps3 and seriously considering the purchase since it gives you hulu and netflix and seems to work really well- when I used the first rev. it was really buggy and kept disconnecting but it seems as they have gotten over the issues

My computer monitor is bigger than my TV monitor, so this doesn't apply, but it's nice to see the generally multimedia-free Wii getting some attention.
Now my WII will be a little more useful.
Who has the best deal online for the Wii LAN dongle "yes I said dongle" or what other USB Lan connector will work with the Wii. Been using the Playon beta for the Wii for about a week now, works pretty solid, just need a better Playon server, the box it's running on is a 10 year old Dell GX280, it's choking that box, its 3.2ghz P4, but only 512mb memory.
I've been using PlayOn for Wii for about a week and I've been a bit less than impressed with the quality.
As a tip to those who fo plan on using it: if you have netflix and the same show is on both hulu and netflix (ie Lost) use hulu fir better quality.

If you're referring to the quality on the Wii that's not PlayOn's fault, it's the Wii. Quality on my 360 is awesome. They've stated that the hardware limitations on the Wii will reduce quality. They have been trying to set expectations appropriately.
