As we
heard before, its 170 lumens is a bit brighter than the
151 lumens P400M predecessor, but otherwise the
P410M is pretty much the same not-quite-pocket projector. The USB input is a nice touch, but the rep we spoke with didn't know what codecs were supported at this point. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a chance to see it in action, as the device suffered through some accident on the way to the event, but we did find out that it's due out for public consumption next week for around $699. Pics for your perusal are just below.
Update: A Samsung rep contacted us with a list of supported codecs, listed after the break.
- USB (Media Play) photo/video file support: JPEG, BMP, TIFF, MPG, DAT, VOB, AVI, MOV, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, WAV [MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Motion JPEG]
- USB (Media Play) audio file support: PCM, MPEG ½ Layer 1/1, MPEG ½ Layer 3 (MP3), WMA, aLawy/uLaw, ADPCM, AMR
*blink*
Hmmm, poor photography skills here.
They should have painted in a white projector too.
Yup, I agree poor photographic skills. Darn
I swore that headline had said pocket PROTECTOR!
The AC adapter was bigger and heavier than the projector on the old model. If they didn't fix that problem, they've got another dud.
it was a hands on, yet you haven't described how it felt in your hands!
How does it feel in your hands?
Is this little guy HD? Why no HDMI, come on Samsung?! This might be cool to connect to my Roku media player when I want to watch baseball in my small sports room.
Doesn't seem much more portable than a whole bunch of other portable projectors.
