Sony's new PS3 Slim ads prove it 'gets' the internet

We have to hand it to Sony, they've followed up nicely on their "worst kept secret" trade show jokes with an ad campaign that is fittingly self aware. Our only gripe? That cheap shot at Bernie Buncalan -- his blog is pretty good. We also packed in another video after the break. Enjoy.

For all the people wondering who Bernie is, he is the fat computer dork dweeb in the cat shirt talking with the sales guy.

Yeah, we got that. I think it was the Bernie Buncalan caption in the video that gave it away. I think what people are WONDERING is who he is, besides the guy in the video. I've never heard of him.

Cool AD! but why slander Nigerians? Think Sony execs should be careful. They're treading on a thin line given how big the Nigerian market is. A boycott could prove fatal for them

Seriously, these ads kick ass. I lol'd on both, but /especially/ the 2nd. I'm very surprised at Sony for creating something that's actually stylish, funny, engaging, and yeah.. just "gets it". They must have hired a new team. ;D
Just to emphasize how nerdy the rumour monger is... it looks like he's running a Hackintosh on the monitor to the left of him.
Is it just me that the guy in the second commercial sounds awfully like Paul Giamatti.......especially when he saids Come On!
