DJ Hero gets sized up by Mixmaster FCC

Activision's DJ Hero controller hasn't exactly been making itself scare since its debut way back in May, but those looking for their closest look at it yet need look no further than the FCC, which recently got its hands on the device for the usual tests and dissection. Of course, there's not a whole lot of surprises to be found, but we do also get a look at a somewhat sparse but straightforward user manual, and a couple of the usual dark and dreary test setup photos, which unfortunately don't feature the FCC folks showing off their skills. Hit up the link below to check out the whole lot for yourself.

Beatmania Ripoff.
They play differently. They just have the same premise, that's all.
Besides, Konami hates sending rhythm games out of Japan, so it's their loss. If they actually gave a fuck, they could have already dominated this market. Just like how they fucked up with Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania.
I love the headline!
mi mi mi mi MIXXXXXXX MASTER FFFFCC
he goes down hard with the Mhz
Cool. I wanna be a DJ HERO!!!! HA!
I mock now...but I will probably end up buying. (dies on the inside)
The idea of Guitar Hero is that anyone can feel like a rock star with no talent required just by pressing buttons in time.
Surely real DJs do that anyway.
Well to be fair. The drums and vocals were real at least lol. Those are like starting drums so one can easily practice that every day and move onto a real full size one. And vocals help you learn how to adjust your singing. Guitar part is bunk tho.
I wonder would this DJ hero actually help be a beginner DJ set?
you are a fool
Exactly, this is NOWHERE close to helping you as a beginner DJ. You'd be better off buying a cheap CD-DJ set than this. This is just a GAME. Just like Guitar Hero won't help you learn squat about playing a real guitar.
You've clearly never seen Tiesto in concert.
I love the test photos....1000hz.....well it isn't glowing so that must be good!
Is it me, or does the link point to an actual FCC site?
Can't wait to try it out!
Poor DJ AM, I think this might have killed him.
Hooray they took it apart! Tho, in figure 9 you can see that they did so clumsily.
Wicky wicky wow wicky wow wow...
