Medion's 24-inch X9613 multitouch all-in-one PC actually looks pretty hot
Medion has never really been our go-to manufacturer for new hotness, but we're really digging this new X9613 all-in-one model it's showing off. Even better than the sexy, the computer is fronting a 24-inch multitouch display, a miniature SideShow screen, a gloriously large physical volume knob, and a bunch of convenient media controls along the bottom. Internals aren't bad either, with a Core 2 Quad Q9000 processor and GeForce GT240M graphics. The price range, unfortunately, is rather steep at 1,499 to 1,900 Euro (about $2,142 to $2,714 US). Lucky for us, US prices are usually quite a bit lower than straight-up conversion, though there's no promised roll-out just yet to bank on. Video hands-on is after the break.

@t Boy, that tablet that apple is going to come out with at some point sure WILL kick this pc's butt..I mean if this were a tablet or if your comment made any sense at all or if you knew much about the tablet that doesn't exist yet.
I laugh my ass off everytime I see one of you with such absurd brand loyalty towards a company whose ONLY goal is to get as much money from you as it can. That was a good laugh, thanks. [wipes try from eyes]
'tears' (obviously) not 'try'
Beautiful shape of the screen but the usual dreaded bevel. Why cant they copy the wretched Apple design which predictbly had flush screens? Flush screens look nodern while bevelled ones look like from the 70s.
Actually this is one of the first all-in-one PCs that can compete with iMac in CPU/GPU power and doesn't even look too bad. The price isn't too bad either if you consider the face most other similar PCs are based on Atom or some other low-powered CPU. The glossy finish is a bad choice for a touch screen, I agree. But still, this is the best iMac rival I've seen yet.
The iMac does not have a touchscreen right. But I honestly dunno how a touch screen on such a big device would be practical so maybe we need a proper review of this tablet to see how user freindly it is.I totally love the specs though....connected to a external blu ray drive, this should make a perfect compact HD media center.
You forget about Sony's all in one offerings, they have been doing it for the past 5-6 years, and they come with a TV tuner. Problem is they also have iMac like prices, so people usually don't consider them.
So you expect the apple tablet to better a 24 inch screen and gt240m graphics?.....The speculated apple tablet is'nt even in the same league as this device and it does'nt need to be as the price point is totally different. You need to get out of starbucks more often.
Plexus and EB-
HP's top of the line IQ846 has a 25.5 in screen, TV tuner, 750gb HD, plus what this one has- for $1799
Yes, the processor and graphics are better on this one, but the HP hasn't been updated since before last Christmas.
I actually like the style of the Medion better. As far as smudges, it really isn't that big of a deal since you're provided a microfiber cloth to wipe them away. HP does have better touch enabled software than this. Until someone actually touch enables nearly all aspects of the computer, it is still a novelty. Once you get past HP's Music,Photos, Videos, Calender, Notes touch enabled software, you still wind up trying to use your finger to touch itty-bitty buttons, icons etc that make using touch very difficult. If they're going to make a touch computer- make it touch from the ground up instead of half-assing it.
But hp has the worst return rates. Only people buy hp are people suckered in by bestbuy salesman. - I'd like to see this medion in the wild running, but at least here in the US aldi doesn't show em running :(
CLEAN YOUR HANDS MAN
It's called soap. I don't know what you do on your new touchscreen.
