Is donut considered the hero rom?
Hero is just an HTC skin on top of Cupcake.
That "Top Paid" is definitely new functionality, and one which I was wondering about. When I look at the most popular apps I'm always saying to myself.. I wish I could take the free ones out of this search...
Ugh, Android does not need to become another iClone
Oog angry, Oog like black UI.
Looks just like a new skin over the old market (and you can filter by top paid/free already).
I really don't care about the background colour, what I want is a decent description, and most-importantly screen-shots.
Going further, how can Google create a good way of bringing to people's attention the best apps - without unfair bias towards older established over newer unproven apps.
Perhaps a dedicated device-friendly website with extra content... really don't know how, but at present the plain dull list with unreliable ratings doesn't cut the mustard. The gallery-view list of "featured" apps doesn't add much either.
*sticking with the black ui, aslong as possible :P*
Google has allready started with implementing new market in Cupcake, there are allready new Categories, and DEVs can now upload screenshots of theire apps into the market.
So it's allready getting better!
