Panasonic Lumix GF1 banner ad hits the web, still not official
So much for subtle, ambiguous leaks. As a great follow-up to the first blurry pics we saw of Panasonic's Lumix GF1, someone over at dpreview apparently pulled the trigger a little early and posted a vertical banner ad for the micro four thirds camera, with the tag line "DSLR photo quality in ultra compact flat design." 4/3rumors has some of the other ad variants if you're curious -- so now that its ad campaign is primed for launch, anyone care to take a guess how much longer we'll be waiting for its full debut?

I'm sure that nobody on the dpreview forums even noticed..
Funny, Panasonic seems to follow the same naming conventions as I do when naming my mistresses.
I don't think it's dpreview's fault. They don't serve online banner ads. Does engadget serve ads that appear on its pages? I didn't think so.
The red one looks hot.
Speaking of cameras... does anyone have a target release date for the Canon 7D? I'm foaming at the mouth for this thing... it's like the perfect middle-ground between the 50D and the 5D Mark II.
Delivered to dealers at the end of September. As per Canon's press release and most photography sties on the internet. And now in this comments section.

Being on topic, I'm wondering what, if any, advancements over the Digital Pen Panny has in store for us.
Easy there little grasshopper.
This new trend of DSLR quality photos in a compact camera design is great!
Wouldn't want to carry those large cameras around...
There have been photo leaks before of this camera, the big news will be whether Leica releases their own version of the GH1 on 9-9-09....hopefully the answer isn't nein, nein, nein!
Get it?
Excellent work there.
That's an unofficially sexy camera.
1 Google + 2 Ebays = 3.6 internets
Did anyone click the "See more information" link?
I saw today on a japanese website a press release card that said it would be made official Sept 1/Sept 2. Never heard of two dates before, but... bring it on!
I wonder how much Tamron will want for that 17-50 mm 2.8. Interesting for anyone with a low end Nikon DSLR.
How is this supposed to compare to the GH1, spec-wise? Because that's my lust camera at the moment.
Nice catch!
(btw the Tamron 2.8/f lens in your screenshot of dpreview sounds awesome)
Where can I buy a GF 1 now for $899.00 with the 1.7 pancake lens I want one bad.
