It's no speed demon, but Toshiba's newest 2.5-inch hard drive sure lets you store an awful lot of
illicit images precious memories on a single unit. The 640GB MK6465GSX drive spins at 5400RPMs and is said to be the industry's largest in this form factor. The range also includes 500GB, 320GB, 250GB and 160GB models, with the whole lot shipping out to OEMs and distributors later this month. In related news, Tosh is also slapping these bad boys into a few shiny enclosures (Vivid White, Liquid Blue, Komodo Green and Rocket Red if you must know), giving storage junkies an even more capacious offering to slide into their briefcase. Of note, As of now, there's no pricing information available on the bare 640GB unit, but it should be available as we speak for $179.99 in external form.

OoO..ahh. These look nice with a cool price.
All you needed to say was 'Rocket Red' and I was sold.
I'd prefer the Red Rocket, and in that size, the Red Pocket Rocket.

Please do correct if I'm wrong.
Toshiba external hard drives suck - I shipped mine back for warranty service yesterday after only using it twice it died. I wouldn't trust any crucial data on this, thank god it was just a backup.
Quite liked mine - fastest USB drive I owned. But then my toddler threw it around the room and it died.
I've 2 portable HD's, 1 toshiba (usb) and a WD pocket (FireWire800/Usb) and I must say that the toshiba is better/more reliable. The WD connectors sometimes suddenly go crazy causing the drive to unexpectedly unmount. The Toshiba performs over more than 2 years flawlessly now. Thumbs up for the toshiba! I'd buy another one instantly if needed. Very compact, sleek aluminum casing design and no performance issues.
