GPS, TomTom's new x50 user interface gets pictured
We'll be honest -- after seeing TomTom's best efforts on its flagship GO 740 LIVE, we couldn't be happier to witness a new user interface for the outfit's PNDs. After taking the wraps off of the GO 950, GO 750 and GO 550 yesterday at IFA, the good folks over at Mobility Minded were able to take a quick peek at some UI improvements that'll ship on the new trio. Aside from just looking entirely more modern, TomTom also added a "Live" tab that gives drivers quick access to upcoming traffic, the cheapest gas nearby and the location of fixed and mobile safety cameras. We'd still like to see a bit more overhauling in the future, but if you're interested in a closer look at what's changing in the immediate, give that read link some love.

They stole your logo! Sue them!
it still looks nasty, say it with me.. anti alising
+1
i could be wrong but i beleive the x50 series does have some anti-aliasing. side by side with the older ones its 100 times smoother and clearer.
Get with the program....Kid
Anti-aliasing has been available for a year now
with the newer Navcores. X20,30,40's
And us iPhone users get the shitty old version for thrice the price xD
I can see someone killing some innocent by-standards trying to save 2 cents on gas while reading this. How bad was the last UI?
i hope its better than whatever the one has-my friend's one is fine for navigation, but the menu logic and layout are pretty poor
^^ haha i lol'd
I still pissed TomTom still does not show streams and creeks like good ole garmin. WTH
Boy, does that Home icon look familiar :)
Are safety camera's photo radar or something?
I'm confused ... last time I looked, Holland was on the Metric system of measurement. The distances shown in the pics seem to be in miles.
