OWC shoves 750GB hard drive into Mercury On-The-Go Pro
Other World Computing's Mercury On-The-Go lineup has always struck us as somewhat overpriced and completely overstyled, but it's tough to argue with 750GB of space in a bus-powered portable drive. The newest addition to the company's On-The-Go Pro range is a 750GB model that spins at 5200RPMs and packs 8MB of cache; we won't even begin to tell you what all you could fit on three-quarters of a terabyte, but if your imagination already has you tempted, you can snag one now for as low as $229.99 if you're kosher with a USB 2.0-only configuration.

I have the 500 MB FW800,FW400,USB (triple interface) drive. They do get warm. But when you deal with large files movie files because of the software you write. The bus powered 2.5 inch drive on FW800 is worth every dime. You can work anywhere and no need the power outlet. I love my OWC drive, would recommend them to anyone that needs flexibility, speed, and portability. I haven't seen very many triple interface portable drives (I'll take my FW800 over USB 2.0 any day) in the market place.
possibly a little overpriced, but that case is quite sturdy and last i checked the warranty is 3 years. after having a few generic enclosures bite the dust pretty quickly, i'm happy to have found OWC's...
