MSI's 24-inch, 1080p AE2400 enables multitouch identification of barnyard animals
All-in-one computers never die, they just keep getting wider -- and touchier, in this case. MSI's latest is the AE2400, a 24-inch, 1920 x 1080 panel with an integrated Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics, doing all it can to make use of the multi-touch support in Windows 7. The machine is set to hit retail sometime in the months contained within the year 2010 at a price of roughly $1,000, which seems like a good enough deal to us, but you may think differently after watching the smudge-riddled video after the break.

GeForce 9400? XD
Yeah that's lame. Something that size should have a 9600m at least. That'd be pretty sweet
It's not exactly a games machine is it, a 9400 runs anything most people would want.
A 9600 isn't going to be running many games at 1920 x 1080 anyway you would be looking for a 260 at least and thats going to be a different class of machine completely.
Doesn't this pretty much suck compared to the Medion touchscreen AIO?

Sure the price is a bit more but it blows the MSI out of the water. Probably better quality and will have a longer life too. Just sayin'.
a bit more? the price is 110% higher.
so, for a higher price, you get a better product? Who knew?
So then I asked her...would you like to touch my animal? Well, shortly after the sting of the slap faded I realized what I said that offended her.
repeated tapping the screen without getting what you wanted it to do
not something I want.
Sorry!
Yay! MSI moved on from copying 10 year old Apple displays to current iMacs!
< sarcasm >That computer looks NOTHING like an iMac< / sarcasm >
Apple "copied" the entire architecture "PC"s were using. You can't top that.
They also copied mice with multiple buttons and right clicking.
The iMac's "design" is a black rectangle in a white rectangle, so...yeah, screw you.
Actually, Apple was first in the world to sell a computer with a mouse, i.e. the Macintosh.
Why does it matter if the design is "copied" what should be the concern is did they improve on the performance on the design they "copied"?
id like to see how this compares to the hp mediasmart
i meant touchsmart
ITS TOO LATE YOU FUCKED UP
I AM GOING TO FLY OFF THE THE HANDLE BECAUSE IT"S A HOLIDAY!!!!! (AT LEAST HERE IN THE USA)
IT"S A HOLIDAY UP HERE TOO!!!!
XD
Holy shit is your caps lock on? stop yelling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOLZ
Cheaper than a smarttouch with a better screen.
and bingo was his name-o
testing...
That looks like a very OSX86 hackable beast with a near identical hardware spec to an iMac (looks pretty similar too) but with a touchscreen !
but does the fullblown OSX 10.6(not iPhone OS) have multitouch or even touchscreen support now?..I guess we have to wait for the tablet to find out.
well based on the osx hacking community the msi wind has, it wouldn't surprise me if someone put snow leopard on that thing and enabled multitouch support.
I wonder how the video performance compares to the eeetop 2203t?
If it came with a built in Blu-ray drive (I know it doesn't mention if there even is a drive built in) would it have the ability to play blu-ray movies?
I still don't get this fascination with touch screen all in ones. I understand the value of a touch screen for an "in the field" portable computer, and for smart phones or point of sale machines. Those are all specialized uses where you either don't need a full keyboard, or it is too cumbersome. I can not imagine sitting down at a desk at home and getting fingerprints all over my monitor instead of using a mouse and keyboard. And for the kitchen, it is even worse. At least for me, the only real use for a kitchen PC is for looking up recipes, and I'm not going to want to smudge my screen with whatever food items are on my hands when I'm cooking. Just my 2 cents. YMMV.
This is clearly a mislabeled KIRF post.
