Power Bridge flips the strip upside-down, instantly kills ugly
Oftentimes it's the most complex of designs that leads into the next level of a technology. Other times, it's the simplest of tweaks that completely revolutionize things. Take the Power Bridge concept, for instance, which simply takes the conventional power strip, turns it upside down and calls it a day. Designed by Hyukjae Chang, the immensely simplistic device keeps those gaudy plugs underneath the top bridge, and it also makes routing the connecting AC cables all sorts of simple. There's no telling when this thing will finally leave the drawing board and enter the production line, but you can rest assured Monster Cable will figure out a way to throw a "power conditioner" in there and charge two or three C-notes for it.

Let's see this hold the brick of an AC adapter for my surround sound speakers...pass
That's just silly. What's gonna keep the electricity from dripping out when it's upside down?
The electrolytes, what else?
Be sure to feed your power strip with Brawndo!
That IS clever*
*also boring.
i have seen it maybe week ago and i love this concept. Yes, there is potencial problem with power adapters, and sometimes when you need quick plug-in/out, but this can be solved with plug or two at the end or front or top of the bridge.
I want to see power bricks connected to that =)
Can APC come up with something like this? I only use SMART-UPS line and something more innovative would be nice....
It doesn't look like it can fit many power adapter blocks, which is typically the whole reason I'd want a power strip.
since when did apple make powerstrips....?
I really prefer this kind of thing. It's for British plugs, but the idea's still solid:

The flatter the better...
took them long enough
it's pretty bad for the cables to kink them like that. cute concept but bad cable handling in the long run.
I question whether this will get UL listed. All it takes is for one plug to arc while it's sitting on a carpet with no chance to dissipate, and instant fire.
I need one of these, badly.
They could probably place other outlets on the top-side for the power adapter blocks, but that would make the form twice as thick.
Now that would actually be really clever. Double sided (top and bottom) outlet strip. Some of us have two outlet strips under our desk; that would really streamline things.
Rex, they should give you royalties, since that concept adaption is the only way more then a handful of these things will sell.
Where would I plug in my Super Nintendo?
Does this fit some of those bulky DC adapters?
will there be any Euro-plug versions?
nice concept, but i don't think anything can help the mass of cords & cables underneath my desk
I think this is actually smart, now i wont trip or step on wires and switches. And it might be a little more safe for children, maybe, but i still like.
Creativity is alive and well —and simple!
Nice job Hyukjae Chang!
Power Bridge needs some plastic on the sides to complete its attempt at "killing the ugly".
*Language police* I think it's a "simple" idea, not a "simplistic" one, which would mean you think it's dumb.
this message is highly informative.

You'll still see all of the cords going down to the power strip; How does this really improve anything? It just seems like a power stip that you can't plug wall warts in to, to me...
