Video: Philips CushionSpeaker laptop stand combines cushion and speaker
It's half speaker, half cushion and 100 percent useful. Philips' recently unveiled CushionSpeaker laptop stand is designed for the bedridden among us, combining a soft laptop stand with a built-in speaker for amplifying those lap-based movie sessions. Of course, this thing probably won't do much for heat dispersion, but for those also looking for a personal heater, this thing just might be magical. The integrated speaker connects to one's laptop via USB, which just might put off netbook owners struggling to get by with just a couple of those very sockets. There's no mention of a US price and release date, but whatever it is, you know you'll pay it. The cutest video introduction you ever did see is waiting just past the break. their minute is 58 seconds.
Damn they're efficient.
lappies can give you testicular cancer but luckily she doesn't have to worry about that thanks to the heat resistant pad
@garrenteed
shes a woman :/
Wow! That girl in Fantastic 4 is using it.
good
stool.
Infertility that's how you get it use a table (That's what my mom say)
Hopefully she has better grammar than you.
Says*
Happy grammar nazi? lol
DR House, your mom is calling you to come home and eat.
@ED
Sir, please, let us do our job and you do yours.
I rather have the model than the product.
the bigger the cushion, the better the pushin
+1
The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand
Or so I have read
She doesn't look bad, but I do believe she was leaning against the event horizon when the Stargate shut down...
According to the video, it has a heat resistant surface, to minimize the heater effect that you mention in the article.
well i like the marketing approach...
LOLOLOL - And you know People will still buy this Complete Bull crap.
ugly and huge!Nowadays they make up any stuff to cut down the money from our pockets especially from ignorant people
I'd hit it.
I love the mute button :D
Considering the fact that most notebook speakers are lacking, this would make a good compromise. Hopefully, this will offer good sound-quality and comfort when using your notebook. It is actually harmful to use your notebook on your lap-it may cause infertility as someone here as previously mentioned. So this can act as a barrier to!
"it may cause infertility"
Only if you are wearing no pants and your lappy has a big cooling fan
Yeah, except they chose the one laptop to demo it that has excellent speakers. The Dell 9400.
the infertility thing is because of heat, and thats only for that your sperm would be dead for 2 days, you keep growing new ones. regardless, this cushion is heat resistant.
I find it interesting that people are so afraid of temporary infertility due to heat, despite that it is the most effective and practical method of contraception when used in a controlled manner.
If you look closely you'll see the laptop.
Dude, I love the avatar.
I think this is a great idea. I us my laptop in bed quite often, and I have to use a book or something plastic because of the heat and airflow. If the airflow is bad, as it is when my laptop sits on material, the computer will just shut down when it overheats.
You have opened yourself up to some serious abuse with that comment. I am refraining from making fun of you though. It is just too easy.
THE MUSIC!
I wonder if you set it up so it can use the cushions speaker and the laptop speaker at the same time, for possibly improved sound.
I applaud Philips for putting more thought into a laptop stand. Most are really, really basic, and I like the snazzy details put in this like a retractable USB cable and other things. I do wish someone would invent one with a SSD and some battery life (with all the major connections)
Took the words right out of my mouth....I wish it had a battery with
modular connections.
Now show me the Sensual Massagers 1-minute Product Preview (http://www.consumer.philips.com/c/relationship-care/19277/cat/gb/).
almost as useful as this

Powered by USB? At that size, it really should be a rechargeable secondary battery for the laptop. While we're at it, can we throw out the 'amazing sound' reference. Maam, I've heard 'amazing sound', and a pillow on your lap does not make 'amazing sound'. (With the possible exception of the 1-minute Sensual Massagers mentioned above.
"Look! A speaker!" LOL
Anyway, Phillips should go all the way putting extra USB ports on it instead of just a speaker. That would be more useful. Even better, make one with an extra rechargeable battery built-in so it can re-charge your laptop's battery.
True, a lot of thing can be put in that cushion and it still be... cushion! :) I'd like to see some ventilation along with the extra battery for the warm summer days in my hammock. Waiting for Cushion 2....
Oh, the things I would fancy with Olivia!
Liking the Dell Inspiron being used there, have Phillips stopped making computers now?… what a shame… what a shame.
i can hear the tinny "amazing sound" now... pftt... no thanks philips...i'll grab pillow and my JBL On Tour.
"Now you can enjoy your favorite videos and music lounging from you sofa or bed, anywhere..." lmao idiots!
does it come with the yellow and black accessory?
From the writhing pose of the model, I'd say she's enjoying the strategically placed subwoofer!
Damn. :(
*Supermodel with zentai/spandex fetish sold separately.
bag photoshop... she has one arm
