The Engadget Show is taping live this Sunday, September 13th -- here's how you join us

The beautiful venue (which you can see in a photo after the break) is located at 66 W. 12th Street between 5th and 6th Aves. Seating is limited and tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis -- which means if you want to join us in the audience for the show, you'll have to arrive early and be prepared for a little wait.
Here are the facts you need to know about the show:
- The show is graciously sponsored by Nokia, and hosted by Parsons The New School for Design
- Our first guest will be announced tomorrow -- we're pretty excited about it, and think you guys will be as well
- Bit Shifter (one of our favorite chiptune artists) will be playing live at the first show!
- The total show length will be around an hour
Here is what you need to know if you want to be part of the audience:
- There is no admission fee -- tickets are completely free
- Tickets will be available for pickup at the Tishman Auditorium at 2PM on the 13th, and we're strongly encouraging people to get their tickets and not stand in line -- if you have a ticket, you'll have a seat!
- The show begins at 5PM, and doors will open at 4:30PM
If you're a member of the media who wishes to attend, please contact us at: engadgetshowmedia@engadget.com, and we'll try to accommodate you. All other non-media questions can be sent to: engadgetshow@engadget.com.

"Sponsored by Nokia"
This could be interesting. Hopefully it's just the starting ad or something.
"Sponsored by Nokia"
The irony kills me.
Yeah, didn't see that one coming, although Nokia does have a history of popping up in places you'd least expect.
Historically looking it probably won't have much to do with the contents of the show and nor should it. Still, nice to see corporate giants supporting blogs. Especially in this case, where Nokia is giving its support to an American blog. A healthy strategy to conquest some of that "mindshare"...
"Sponsored by No kia" o.O
I let's hope some of the graphic designers werkin for you guys don't KIRF up a Nokla.
oh and don't forget a SHOUTOUT to ME, ONE OF YOUR LONGEST READERS...........
Make sure you wear clean underwear.
@SOOPERGOOMAN: So since I've been around 9 months longer than you I should be more likely to get a shout out right?
featuring: "Lots of hypocrisy!"
So, is Engadget getting bigger and bigger these days?
Pretty soon we'll be seeing Engadget with its own cable television channel. Only a matter of time!
Parsons loves Nokia (or its the other way around). so I'm sure that had a bigger role to play then Engadget.
Source: i went to that school
Still doesn't Engadget constantly bash Nokia devices?
@Grammar:
I'm guessing you failed?
Now Josh is going to be telling us how V2 fixes all the problems on the N97 and it's the ultimate hero device.
nokia ftw!
So...I hear Thomas Ricker is going in disguise...
make sure you aren't having your periods, engadget
I can actually see Nokia in the corner, shuddering with constrained laughter as their convoluted plan goes into effect...
Hurray, the rubber-boots company strikes back ! ;D
Wish i could attend. Gotta work. Keep up the great work Engadget!
I did a double take when I saw sponsor by Nokia, maybe that's why we got the non-biased article about the 2.0 firmware.
No, that's emphatically not why. Our ad sales people handle ad sales, we handle the content, and those two things never, ever mix.
Me thinks he doth protest too much!
@Nilay Patel: So all the adds mixed in between the content don't count?
We see the ads for the first time when you do -- when we load Engadget.com. Other than that everything about them is mostly a giant mystery, and we do our best to keep it that way.
I'll be there. Wonder if I can get my girlfriend to come along, lol.
Will there be refreshments, or an after-show reception?
You LOLed because you don't have a girlfriend, right?
nah, I actually do have a girlfriend, but she even considers overhearing the Engadget Podcast to be torture. If alcohol's served, I might possibly be able to sway her, and we can stop by after brunch while maintaining that nice Sunday afternoon buzz.
TOPOLSKY/PATEL: Will adult refreshments be served?
Your girlfriend has an alcohol problem, therefore she is potentially our girlfriend.
>> The show is graciously sponsored by Nokia,
How will you guys keep up the nokia hate then?
I feel sorry for Nokia, really. I can safely say none of the execs are interested in listening to Engadget podcasts. 'cause if they were, not only they wouldn't back this show, they'd probably place a bunch of C4s where Josh is gonna sit! lol
Oh Engadget, you never fail to surprise!
>>they'd probably place a bunch of C4s where Josh is gonna sit!
Hey, maybe you're on to something here.
Sponsored by Nokia? Try not to slag on S60 then, you guys!
S60 and Nokia should try harder to provide better products and services, then. Engadget slag off Nokia because, quite simply, Nokia need to be slagged off to wake up from their 3-year sleep.
with a screen name like that "iLoveApple" do you expect to be taken serious?
Huh... I was thinking this was going to be a regular tv show, does this mean it's going to be a 1 time only thing? Not really getting the point of this...
It's not one time only -- we're doing the live show once a month, with shorter segments throughout the month.
Oh, ok, that makes a little more sense. I'm guessing it'll cost money on iTunes/Zune marketplace? Or is it going to be a video podcast?
As explained on the audio podcast, it will be Free, and it will be available to download in HD and stream in something crappy.
Mark doesn't like reading. :)
@Destricto_Ense: Thanks. I don't listen to the podcast, so that'd explain why I didn't know that. I'll probably end up downloading it in HD then from the Zune Marketplace. Should be out shortly after I get my Zune HD :D
Does your Zune HD do your reading for you?
The point, I think, is that a certain Engadget editor got a bit jealous of a Jimmy whatshisname when he went on his show, so now Engadget's got their own!
And of course, every blog has their own show complete with live audience and corporate sponsors.
I am going to show up completely trashed. Just letting you know, Josh.
I'm still not sure I understand where this "show" is coming from... I mean, why do we need an "Engadget Show" at all? Not that I don't wish you guys the best or anything... I just don't understand.
It's so that we can finally see Topolsky's red pants in person!
@ crawdad
Boing Boing!
Will I wait outside longer for this, or for the launch of an apple product?
WTF Nokia :) Did they make you signed something to stop bashing them on podcasts ? :D
A live taping? lol.
I figured this to just be a video podcast, I'm sorta excited about it now.
engadget music? ENGADGET MUSIC?!!!
