The iPod Touch 'upgrade' is a big disappointment. Oh well. They'll probably do a major revision next year after the iPhone gets FM radio, OLED screen etc

this is bogus man. i was so excited. i cant believe they havnt even bettered to res. i can understand not going OLED, cameras a bit of a pushover. im getting the 64gb, but i really think apple needs to pick up its game. and i meant that metiphorically.
Somehow, I don't think Microsoft has much additional here to be worried about than they did last year - this is a very weak update.
Hi, can anyone tell me about the ZuneHD, I was all ready to but the itouch, but this launch was quite dissapointing.
The thing i liked about the ipod was the apps, can you get app type things on the ZuneHD?
Do you recomend any other mp3/4's?

Damn, I was rather hoping they'd add some more physical buttons. Volume up/down is nice, but I'd also like to be able to change songs when I'm a) Not holding my touch in my hand, and b) using good heaphones.
Why the FUCK would you want/need a camera on an iPod Touch? Grow up people... saying you're not going to purchase this just because it doesn't have a camera is ignorant.
No, it's ignorant of Apple for thinking they can just up the memory, slap in some old tech processor, and add "3g" to the name and sell it for more expensive then a more superior Zune HD, all because it has a picture of a fruit on the back
The price difference between the iPod Touch and unlocked iPhone 3GS is HK$2920 (US$376). How can the phone and camera be so expensive?

Look everyone, if u want a camera that bad just go out and get an iphone - otherwise the only difference between them would be the phone which would be shitty for apple as they make more off an iphone and ppl would just get the ipod!!!!
Apple, like so many other companies, seems to be run by clueless executives. Steve Jobs claiming that customers told them that the touch was primarily a gaming machine and as such they didn't want a camera is a perfect example of the depth of cluelessness of an executive of a major company.
No camera on Zune HD = Fail.

the components to the zune hd cost a hell of a lot more than those in the touches right now
and the touches cost more
enjoy the money you spend on the same touch you already have, while everyone else has the ability to play 720p vid files out of their player
Ok, so apple didn't release the camera for the ipod touch, but we can still look at the bright side. For one thing, don't forget that this is the same company that creates one of the BEST COMPUTERS on the market and thats how they started, so big whoop if the music department didn't satisfy our hopes and dreams. Just drown your misery in buying a mac.
i completely agree with ark_v2, People dont want a camera on a stupid ipod nano they want it on the ipod touch!!!! if the zune does get a camera i will switch to them instead. Well i guess thats what we get for having Steve Job's back and running apple again.

You figure maybe the only reason they don't put the camera on the ipod is because it'll prob drop iphone sales down because if that happens who's gonna want the iphone I know i wouldn't i know All i need is that basically. idk but then again is the fact that you know wifi to even use skype or to even send messages but apple...... you did people dirty i was actually looking foward to that camera on that ipod 3g :(....
