Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
Why is the Camera at the Bottom? B/c it's Apple, and they can. Welcome back Steve. :-/
i dont get the placement either, anyone have any idea why it's at the bottom? aside from "because they're apple and they can"?
because they're apple
and they can
not sure, because if your right handed, holding it with your right hand would completely cover the camera.
It could just be that a camera wouldn't fit under the screen area. It's probably tight in there as it is.
you know if they put the camera on the ipod touch, it would solve this "why is it at the bottom of an ipod and its so awkward to hold it, its gonna fall of my hands and its tight behind the screen area crap"
seriously apple really made a bad move by putting the camera in the ipod. ok well, its an OK move and an even worst one by the placement of the camera.
I've got it! OMG, I'm a genius! (no puns intended)
The reason why the camera is on the bottom is because you're supposed to record with the nano upside down. That's why the videos got upside down when uploaded. You must have recorded it with the screen up, you should be doing it with the screen down, right behind the hand you were using it to hold the device.
Genius me, FAIL APPLE.
that thing is so thin and small it was probably the only place they could put it......
