Motorola CLIQ finds a home on T-Mobile's website
Lookie here! Those who thought Motorola was messing around with the revitalization of itself best take notice, as the company's CLIQ -- which was literally just announced moments ago -- has already surfaced on T-Mobile USA's website. At least initially, T-Mob will be the exclusive carrier for the phone in America, and it'll be shipping in both black and white. Sadly, there's no clues yet as to when it'll launch and how much it'll set you back, but feel free to hit that read link if you're interested in subscribing to updates.

Meh, I was totally excited for it... right up until I found out it has the same 528MHz Qualcomm processor as the G1/MyTouch/Hero. Seriously? Someone needs to put some power in an Android device. So far Creative seems to be the only one who cares to do so.
Well, for €150 Eldar Murtazin says it will cost, I think it's a very nice offer...

We do have 256 MB of RAM a bump up from 192, and the xda guys say it makes a huge difference.
I agree though, all I want is a Qwerty Android phone running a new UI with a bump in speed. I have a G1, and it's great, but needs a facelift and a speed bump. Hopefully HTC has something good in the works. (With a 3.5 mm jack)
If it is really 150EUR unlocked, then its USD price can't really be more than $200, right? Since the HTC Tattoo's unlocked price was posted to be about 320GBP, I wonder how the two will stack up. I was wanting to combine music and smartphone capabilities with the Nokia XM5800, but I think I'll hold off until this gets released.
You want a serious speed bump, go install Cyanogen's 4.1.7 ROM. I cannot even begin to tell you how much faster the phone is. With BFS, the phone has become so much smother (read: almost no lag what-so-ever with multiple apps loaded) that the Google Android team has not only taken notice, but is helping with development. Quick notes, 4.1.7 is still experimental, but IS full donut.
LOL the iPhone haz dis shit from day 1...
wtf seriously Motorola?!
Has what since day 1? I don't want this thing at all but at least try to make sense. The iPhone didn't even have apps from day one. Hell, most of these new features appear in widgets which the iPhone still can't handle.
@iClap: No, the iPhone does not have that. It does not multi-task or aggregate content. And neither does it have a 5MP camera or a mechanical keyboard. Motorola are off to a good start. Only negative is the lack of flash for the camera.
Look at his name, He's has the "clap" since day one. I guess he like advertising he has Chlamydia.
I don't even think this fool is a iPhone user/fan. He just likes starting pointless problems.
Same guts as the G1?
Groan...
What kinda of video is this recording?
640 X 480 mp4 like the iPod nano?
240x320 QVGA per the developer site. Terrible... just terrible.
It has a 5 Mpixel camera.
Wow... every extra detail I find out is more fail. It started off well looking great, then each spec outed is worse than the previous.
Yes it has a 5MP camera. and if you'll continue reading you'll see it has horrible video recording resolution.

QVGA?!
Really?! What a waste of the 5MP.
They could have at least hit VGA like the frikking nano.
I like the UI but the specs are killing me.
Maybe the next phones they announce will beef it up a bit.
Wow still QVGA. Basically all of the Android phones out so far suck at video recording, at least this one has 25fps. I'm waiting for the next gen (the ones that do away with this processor). Hopefully we see some upgraded hardware soon.
On the other note, this will probably be inexpensive and help expand the market for Android.
Meh. I kinda don't like it. At all.
Hello, Moto.
hopefully this is just their entry level phone and they will come out with a high end Android device soon. Kinda like what Nokia did with the 5800 and then N97
I won't be giving up the iPhone and it's apps anytime soon, but it's a good looking phone and nice to see Motorola getting back in the game with something competitive.
So the fun begins..
hopefully this is just an entry level phone and then they will release a high end phone soon...kinda like what Nokia did with the 5800 and N97
That's what is being reported - the next one (coming Real Soon Now) is higher end with more hardware features.
Source on the REAL phone's arrival?
Unlike "Bullet the ex-con" who has NO SOCIAL SKILLS!
(i.e. "Yo hole-up! leme get dem digits! and they better be right or i'll bus you in the grill!")
As he proceeds to make a test call to the number from his cell phone in front of the mortified chick...
Is this not the Morrison? I thought Morrison had Wifi calling (UMA). I don't see any mention of it on either specs or T-Mobile site. T-Mo need a android phone that can do Wifi calling...
I am 100% in Agreement with you, I have been waiting for a 3G+UMA device since the G1 (Since they initially promised it) You would think their signature phones would have their 1 competitive advantage which is UMA.
Also if it is the same chipset as the G1/MyTouch then its looking less likely it will have UMA on the device.
Read the specs on the developers site, this phone has 802.11b/g.
I read them, and thats not UMA, all that means is that it has WiFi not UMA WiFi Calling
At least it looks nice...
I was very excited to see this phone. I'm hopeful to see a similar device (android with keyboard) when my contract with my G1 is up. Although I am very extremely happy with my G1, I am disappointed that it won't get many more software updates because of storage issues...
great job motorola ... you managed to copy the g1

Wow. Another Android device for T-Mobile. I was excited for a brief moment because I thought this had a chance as a Verizon phone. I'm one android device away from switching carriers.
I like the form factor, and the hardware design looks nice, but no WinMo 6.5 is a dealbreaker for me.
Thats it I am done with Verizon Wireless, This was suppose to be their time to get a android device!
