It was all too brief, but we managed to grab a few snapshots of the Motorola CLIQ less than an arm's length away and shoot some shakycam footage before the PR rep re-cloaked it and promised more at a later event -- what a tease. Video after the break.

The phone is awesome. I have a patient who works for tmobile and he brought the cliq in today. He was testing it out so he let me play with it for a bit. I held it up next to my g1 and compared. The weight is the same but the Cliq looked and felt sexier. Played with it for a few minutes and it seemed really responsive and the keyboard felt and looked really good. I do say I like the g1 keyboard more because you get the numbers and more button options but the dpad was really nice and i think it will work better than the tract ball (which I hate most of the time). I was trying to get details out of him (launch or pricing) but he either didn't know or was tight lipped about it. But the fact that they have people who have them in hand and testing them out means we should see something very soon I am hoping. I checked the firmware version hoping it had 1.6 already loaded but no such luck. What more can I say about that hasn't been said. Sweet phone and looking to get one.
