DigitalCube shows off sexy iSTATION S3 PMP
We'll just go ahead and get the bad news out of the way: if you call yourself a North American, and you're not gutsy enough to find an importer, you'll probably never own the downright beautiful device shown above. Known as the iSTATION S3, DigitalCube's latest arrives with 8/16/32GB of storage, an HDMI output, a battery good for 20 hours of audio playback (or 8 hours of video), an expansive 3.5-inch AMOLED display, WVGA (800 x 480) resolution and support for a veritable smorgasbord of file formats. Sadly, we've no price or release date to share, but by all means, give that read link a tap if you're looking for more eye candy.

Another great game device.
Wow...that's actually kinda...wow...
is that an ipod connector i spy?
wait WAIT but APPLE invented the CURVED LINE!!! lolzzzz
tis sexy, though.
Oh awesome! Another really cool looking PMP!
Oh wait, it only goes as high as 32GB. They just lost a customer.
Gimme either a 32GB capable SDHC slot... or just another freakin 32GB.
RandD for apple
Darren,
I think you meant to type OLED screen instead of WVGA.
Correction, i am a dumb @$$
Noted.
AMOLED screen!;) Nice But still I love my Iriver Spinn 8gb with OLED!;)
Daniel, that pic is just inappropriate for Engadget. We must always allude to the idea that the only action we've had is our 8TB of pr0n loaded on our NAS
Also its reaaally douchy
a rebranded mp3 player that is licensed to about 10,000 other vendors trying to cash in. Get that crap out my face.
Wow, that looks a lot like an iPod dock connector. If it were compatible with accessories like speakers that used the iPod connector, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat (assuming the UI is as refined as the device looks to be).
Come on guys.... just because it has a glass touch screen.... and a candy bar form factor.... and a iPhone look-a-like docking station.... and the letter "i" in front of iStation.... and the glossy white housing like the iPhone.... doesn't mean they tried to copy the iPhone. I'm sure they thought of all that on their own ;)
Just sayin
Copy the iPhone? Now way. They probably copied teh Zune HD™
Zune HD™. It's crackalackin!
the company iStation has been around way before the iPhone came out. If you click on the digital cube name link you will see posts about their products dating back to 2006.
Now if this had an SD/micrsd card slot I would be looking at one, since some of their last few device were linux based.
well on the side where the volume rocker is in the pic there is spot that looks like it could potentially be a sd slot of some sort. I have never heard of this company before but i got to say that this is one sexy looking device they have on their hands here's to hoping they put as much effort into the UI.
Holy shit if they made that into a phone that would be the greatest form factor in the world. In my opinion the iPhone is the leader in form factor for beeing seamless and having a very comfertable feeling in the hand, but this blows it away. My dream phone 3.5 to 3.7 inch 800x480 OLED,32gig, 512 ram, 800 to 1 Ghz processor, 5 megapixel camera with grea optics and the ability to shoot D1 video at 60fps and amazing sound quality like the 3GS, some sort of ui like the one on that old tegra device or something better( I dont like android it seems cluttered and im not a fan of widgets) and 4G on the Verizon network.
Have u even tried Android or are u speaking out of your ass? Cluttered? How is that?
Looks very nice. I like that blue light.

Same old form-factor.
As for the specs, WOW!
