2 weeks after I buy the fable 2/halo 3 goty bundle not realizing it's a Falcon :( Still, throw in a wifi adapter and this is would be a helluva deal.

If they released this a day earlier that MW2, I would buy it just to be the first to play MW2. Then again, I've already dished out $150 for Prestige edition, so I'm not sure I want to spend another $400, especially with Assassins Creed 2 and Bioshock 2 coming around...

Dude you should still totally get it. You got to look at what it is really. First of all you are getting a 250 gig hdd (it is probabley going to be like 300 dollars by itself when it releases eventually). Which is insane and is the biggest you can get. Then look at the fact that you get two controllers. That is an extra 60 dollars that you dont have to spend and you got an extra. But its like thats not enough. it also comes with a regular version of the game in the box. You are getting a Double Elite with Two Controllers and a copy of the game for 400 bucks. And by the way if you plan on getting one you better reserve it now. Supplies are extremely limited.

I understand your feeling about getting a new 360.
Mine works fine, but it's only a 20 gig hard drive, has the older chip, and without the HDMI port.
This is a pretty good deal with 2 controllers, a new game, and a 250 gig hard drive.
I think I'm going to wait before upgrading, though ... in case they come out with some special deal next year that comes with Natal inside. Hopefully, it will still come with a controller.

I could do without the garbage paint job that has nothing to do with the game specifically, but beggars can't be choosers. High Speed - Low Drag? The hell does that have to do with anything? I'd understand that on the Forza limited edition, but the COD limited edition?

Well, going by the logic we used to estimate the price of the new wifi adapter, I would say that it's probably gonna cost around $300.

Oh, but you can convert your own for much cheaper! A 7200 RPM 250 GB drive on NewEgg is right around $70.00 US and the xbox360 HD shells are right about $20.00 on ebay... along with directions and such online. Though you will have to wait for someone to hack the 250 GB HD's ID for the drive.
not when I can do what I did with the 120 and use an off-the-shelf 2.5" drive

crap deal, PS3 120gb costs $299 and it is likely they will bundle the game with it. So you pay $100 for another controller, a theme you will get sick of in a few months and 120gb's of extra HD? costing like $30?.

But that extra 130GB is MS's inflated HDD price, and you still don't get a built in 802.11g or even an external adapter at least.
Aside of the paint job that will get old after a while i think its a good deal for people wanting an Xbox 360.
I'll pay the extra $100 just to avoid the chrome drive tray that the normal elites have. The extra controller and HDD space are just a bonus.

True the HDD is inflated and the only thing we can do is external drive for it, other than that we have to put up with MS's BS

Well then i may be wrong but i have only seen the black and white models. I thought the MSG4 just had the game in it. Point being PS3 has never had a full customized case like the 360, there is what now 4 special editions 360's i can think of.
Although I guess this is far from the point, but I'd personally never really want to buy a custom edition console. Especially one that's based on just one game. I'd rather have one that matches my receiver and tv. Not some gaudy looking custom-print.
At least the gun metal mgs4 ps3 was stylish and had very little actual branding. Just sayin'.
