A look back on popular stories from today in a specific year.

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Also interesting was the install screen, which depicts 4 different models of the touch:

I think this answers my above question, thanks! I'm guessing you'd have to assign a express key to turn off touch input when you are using the pen otherwise it could get rather frustrating when trying to draw. Are the pressure levels in-line with the other bamboo tablets being 256 or 512 levels (can't remember which)!?
Thanks again.

Some light googling gave me this page, showing part numbers of the models-to-come:

Can't wait to see these puppies in action, been waiting for something like this ever since Apple killed/absorbed FingerWorks!
too bad I already have one! I have never been more impressed by the packaging of a product in my life than I was when I bought mine. The tablet feels like it can take a bullet and the vaule is great. I would recommend for anyone who is just beginning to get into the digital arts. this one looks like it will be even nicer
Yes, their packaging is nice (I think the Apple packaging is more impressive though), but this is NOT a graphics tablet. Not at all, perhaps even worse than a mouse for such work. Look at the video on YouTube someone has posted here.
Does it come with any software bundled (ie the usual photoshop elements, etc)?
I posted a youtube video with my impressions/review - wacom bamboo touch:
Enjoy...

I work at Staples and we JUST put up the display 4 days ago. There are a few different sizes, 3 that say "Touch" and 3 that say "Touch + Pen". Then there's the Intuous line, which doesn't have touch, just pen and a mouse. They start at $69.99-$149.99. I'll post blurry cam when I get the chance.
Thanks so much Matt. Good stuff in a pinch. Bet you will think twice before you let everyone know your the only kid on the block with the new toy..
Question for you:
Most multitouch gizmos come with a toy program of sorts that allows you to see the input of the pad in real time. If you drop your fingers on the pad it will give you a graphic representation of what is being touched. Can you find any utility programs from the wacom install that do this? Im 99% positive that this tablet has the ability to sense 4 or 5 fingers at a time.. DRIVERS? Those have to be coming..
This may be naive but didn't Fingerworks make an open SDK for their products? I wonder if there would be a way to glean some of that tech..
The included software is pretty minimal. I haven't seen any reference to gestures using more than two fingers. I also don't see any utility that lets you see the the input of the pad.
Where did you get it? Bestbuy, staples?
