Is this Sony Ericsson's Android-powered XPERIA X3?
As always, Mr. Blurrycam isn't doing us any favors here, but we're cautiously optimistic that the image you see above is one of the first real glimpses at Sony Ericsson's forthcoming XPERIA X3. Granted, the WinMo-packin' X2 is still in its infancy, but every true SE fanboy knows that Android is where it's at. The skin, which is obviously early in development, is definitely unlike anything we've ever seen, and while we can't make out much about the hardware, the general shape certainly jibes with what we'd expect an X3 to look like. Le0n_Pro's original post is down there in the read link, but we just couldn't leave well enough alone; thankfully, he was kind enough to gift us with a gallery's worth of (admittedly shaky) shots. Dig in!

Update: Looks like someone actually got ahold of a white version. Real? Fake?

haha, well, i've never used either one.
the OS at the moment does not make the phone for me since i'm a mobile OS virgin and all.
it will be the specs that decide in the end.
besides, aren't there 100 times more apps for win mobile when compared to android? and its a bit funny, nearly everyone here slams one mobile OS or another but no one ever mentions the advantages or disadvantages.
how about if your gonna slam one mobile OS or another you have to do the following...
name 3 advantages AND 3 disadvantages
@livelife you would think that with winmo bieng the oldest mobile os at that it would have the more apps but that is not the case. Android marketplace has more apps than whatever third party site you chose to get winmo apps from, since their marketplace is still coming soon. The Android marketplace is open, so you will not see useful apps getting rejected because it "duplicates functions of the phone". You know livelife the OS on the phone is gonna play a much bigger role then you think. And I imagine that neither on of these phones will be cheap, you may want to get to no winmo and andoid to help make this decision, it will be awhile before wither phone is available. I suppose if your gonna use outlook on your phone then winmo may be for you, although there are many alternatives to outlook. There aren't many alternatives to layar though.
The update with the white phone is obviously a fake since the reflection of the area disappeared if you compared it with the black screen below. I've seen the casing of SE and through several phones with them, they don't just box them in that form, unless they're starting to do so...
Go online and check out how they unbox their older flagship phones like P1i, Xperia X1, etc...
The Rachael is as boring as Jennifer Aniston in the 90s...
The codename for this phone was pretty appropriate!
what makes this phone boring? have you even seen the spec list? gtfo punk
Of course Mr. Blurrycam... SE had to 'show' something new since HTC Leo already got hands-on somewhere else.
I wouldnt be surprised if now there is hype for iPhone 4G or something sh!tty like that comes on the web as well.
I've seen this phone's incomplete specs posted in several different
discussions, and it bothers me that, although the specs continually
list the Snapdragon processor, there is never any mention of the
internal memory; how much RAM/ROM space does this phone have? It's
great that it has expandable memory, but with Android not allowing
applications to store to external memory (without some clever
adjustments), this device needs to have AT LEAST 512MB (dare I say
even 1GB) available. Hell, the Samsung Galaxy i7500 has 8GB of
internal memory available, but I don't know if that translates to
internal space for applications or simply space for mp3/pics/data.
But... if this phone DOES include a significant internal memory
increase, plus a nearly double-speed processor then...
Well...
DO WANT.
Any word on which (if any) carrier will have this phone in the US?
It looks really nice, I just need confirmation it has the slide out keyboard. Although I'm sure it will since the past 2 generations have kept it.
Also hopefully some US carriers will adopt it next year. *hoping at&t get its, don't want to sacrifice my discount*
No QWERTY keyboard, sorry folks.
C'MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON T-Mobile! You have to give us SOMETHING after passing on the Hero =\ A Samsung Galaxy i7500 with plain old cupcake is so unsatisfactory.
Good god I want one.
