Nikon's Coolpix S1000pj now shipping from select locales

Nikon assured us that its projector-packin' S1000pj would be out and about by September 17th, and while we've yet to confirm whether or not anyone was able to snag one last Thursday, we can say for certain that it's shipping now from a number of respectable e-tailers. Ritz Camera, Abe's of Maine and Beach Camera are all shipping units out within 48 hours, while Amazon appears to be backordered until September 23rd. The cam is sitting at $430 pretty much everywhere, so the only question left the answer is this: you in?

meh, had two coolpix cameras in my past. One stopped working within a year, the other within two.
Ended up buying a $90 Kodak and can't find a thing wrong with it after 15 years.

I don't get it, for the price i know i can get a DSLR, why buy a point and shoot camera if you can get a DSLR for about the same price??

No, they aren't. LOL Ritz/B&H are really the only two outlets I'd trust, besides Amazon of course.

I'm tracking it with Fedex. Should be in my hands on Wednesday! I'm stoked!

I've always had Nikon (currently have D40 with a Tamron 18-250mm lens) but it's sometimes a pain to carry this around. This is going to be used in a party environment and what better way to show off pictures than with a projo.
